It would be funny as hell if he ended up back in jail for this round of shenanigans.

Pardon doesn't cover crimes committed AFTER it was issued.

Magorn: Pardon doesn't cover crimes committed AFTER it was issued.

From what I have read most of the pardons are very limited or of dubious construction and merit. Stone could be easily charged with crimes not mentioned. Donnie only has the "best" lawyers.

Stone may be counting on getting a fresh one once ex-45** is POTUS once more.

I must have missed that lie.. that's almost a Suspiciously Specific Denial.

So this guy has basically just jumped from one crime to another throughout his whole life. No wonder Trump likes him.

"Protestors accused of terrorism:We followed his orders"
I just can't wait to read how this was just something that got out of hand and everybody walks away. From the article it sounds like Hawley is just a cheerleader and the actual criminals who need to be impeached are laying low to avoid gaining any coverage.

Why can't all of these evil farkers die like Roy Cohn; penniless, in pain, and abandoned by all of his friends?

When are we gonna get a new AG who also won't do anything about the organizers of the insurrection?

Y'know I really want this one to be true because Roger Stone deserves some truly shiatty karma for the ratfarking he's done.

But Seth Abrams. Man, if he says it, I need to verify everything. That man isn't even 50% right about anything.

After all the shiat this mofo has done in his life, he should be sent to a north korean concentration camp to work till he farking dies. But before that he should be raped by 50 elephants.

I'm trying to be shocked, but it's snowing here in Las Vegas right now... AND sticking on the trees and ground.
I think that's all the legitimate shock I can muster up right now.

When though, when are these people going to see the proper level of consequences for their actions? It isn't funny anymore, never was, but the fark around and find out was amusing when it seemed there would be swift justice.

I'm not lying when I say I expected him to wind up wasting his pardon.

Nor when I say I shall enjoy him being found guilty again.

PBS will have a program on this evening describing all the naughtiness that don trump has gotten up to over the past 4 years.

I will watch, grinding and gnashing my teeth.

Tomorrow I will awaken, go about my business, and nothing will happen.

This seems like a very thorough curation of the principal players, their circumstances and the timelines. The question is, if it bears out to be accurate, is "what will be done?". Its such an audacious act of insurrection an sedition - literally an attempted coup.

And, yet, there is nothing close to a unified opinion that any of it happened.

You want the charges to come fast or do you want them to stick?

As with all organized crime prosecutions, you roll up the "soldiers" and see which ones you can get to flip on the "bosses"    the process takes a little time, especially for the soldiers to realize just exactly how farked they are and that flipping is their only option to not doing 20 years in jail

They're already talking about not charging all the insurrectionists. It doesn't seem like they want to investigate or prosecute or generally take this seriously. Now maybe that's just because we still have Trumpers running the DOJ, which is why I'm wondering why there is absolutely no rush on getting Garland confirmed unless nothing much is going to change once he is confirmed.

There's a systemic lack of urgency in addressing the insurrection that goes beyond "let's take our time and get it right."

America will never be the same!

Excellent write-up.  It'll be interesting to see how Farkers write Seth off this time, since usually the only complaint is he writes too much for Twitter to handle.  Maybe they'll just biatch about his font choice or something.

I think this is one of the most damning sections:

"It's in light of this possible knowledge that federal investigators will wonder at the synchronicity of four events:
- While he was caught on video on January 5 leading a chant of "Victory or death!" at the Stop the Steal/Rally to Save America event at Freedom Plaza in DC-and filmed a video of himselfwatching the breach of the Capitol grounds on January 6 while saying, "I don't disavow this, I don't denounce this"-Ali Alexander did not enter the Capitol during the January 6 march, and indeed in his January 6 video is perhaps a mile away from the building itself.
- Roger Stone told the marchers that he would participate in the January 6 march, but then did not. He was invited to lead the march, but he declined.
- Alex Jones was invited to lead the January 6 march but somehow ended up at the back end of the crowd. He left the march the moment it became violent, and never breached the Capitol.
- Donald Trump told the marchers he would participate in the January 6 march, but did not. He told Alex Jones he would lead the march, but he never appeared.
So how did these four men, who claim to have been in contact with one another and/or one another's agents in the lead-up to the assault on the Capitol, all know that it was vital not to be too closely involved in the march on the Capitol itself? Why did they decide, nevertheless, that it was equally vital to make the marchers think matters would be otherwise? In short, what did these four men believe-perhaps based on their prior contacts with the Proud Boys-was going to happen at the Capitol on January 6?
"

I don't think there's much that makes the knowledge of guilt on Trump's and these other men's behalf clearer than that.  They ALL KNEW they'd need plausible deniability, and combine that with the close ties they had with the Proud Boys who breached the first line so that the mob would follow in after, behind them, it's blatantly obvious that the breach and overrun at MINIMUM was wholly intended but they wanted plausible deniability.  There's more Seth's covered about how the calls they were making and what they were trying to get the congressmen on their side to do to delay proceedings only made sense if they were hoping for the mob to stop the session of congress.

There is so my layers to this twisted scene that it's ridiculous

But nothing will happen...
because the Dems are wishy washy and not aggressive enough
And the GOP just wants to forget about it

And so...another bad guy(s) get away

We're policed by the Keystone Kops
