This is appropriate. It's only the CJ for a sitting President. Don't make this something it isn't.

I can't wait for them to call Lindsey from his Kampfy chair in the audience to testify in the trial regarding the Georgia phone call.

They need to do discovery on the sedition squad and get all their communications. That would help show what trump was doing. (Would also prove they are the Sedition Party)

I haven't looked it up but Schumer is the boss now and he is not in the hot seat. Going by this the turt would not be in it.

I could be wrong. It would be the first time in my life but stranger things have happened.

Apparently! Daniel Inouye presided over the impeachment trial of federal judge Thomas Porteous in 2010, and he voted both to convict and to disqualify:

Most memes become outdated and irrelevant on short order. Others, however, are powered by a seemingly inexhaustible source of relevance to a given subject. Democrats still wont call the co conspirators in the senate for the treasonous farks they are because they still believe in the good old ''we have to go along to get along and be nice to our coworkers because weve known them and worked with them for the last X years, we ate lunch with them and they are our buddies''.

They really think that republicans in the senate are really good people and just have a different ''opinion'' on what government should be when their opinion is : burn everything to the ground and give all taxpayers money to corporations and when people vote against our policy, try to overthrow the government by force.

You know, the smartest thing the Republicans could do is vote to convict and disqualify. They'd be free of him forever, because if he runs in 2024 he'll be nominated and he will lose again.

The problem is, of course, that while they all know that they're afraid that Trump and his lunatic supporters will vote them out. Thus they will all vote to acquit the man who tried to have them killed in order to save their jobs.

Irony, thy name is cowardice!

One needs a cabinet filled because all of that past few years of "acting" was crap. And a few bills debated and then signed into law to get us back on track- things EO's cannot do.
Then you burn them down.
Do you even long term warfare plan bro ?

The Constitution specifies that the Chief Justice shall preside if it is the President being impeached. Trump is not the President. Joe Biden is the President. Glad I could clear that up.

Nah, that's not how they roll... they were out to murder anyone insufficiently loyal to Trump when they stormed the capitol, and nothing's changed. Trumpers want to murder the non-believers, not simply vote them out.

The kompromat from the hacked RNC server must be seriously explosive, so much so, because of how easily trump is able to get them to fall in line every f*cking time.

I really have to assume the entire GOP are all seditionists and traitors in regards to Putin.

There is no other explanation for trump's stronghold over them.

If anyone can think of another explanation for it, please, reply to this post. I'm interested in all of them.

He's going to do it no matter how they vote.

They'll vote to acquit to keep the kompromat from being known.

Why wouldn't they?  95% of them are too rich to ever be significantly affected by any of their policies.  They have no reason not to get along besides their policies.  Sure, some people in Congress actually do care about the people, but the majority sure treat it like a team sport--especially given that constituents' voices have pretty much zero effect on legislation.
