Rodgers is an insufferable douche.

The little biatch probably didn't want to get tackled.

I've long said, that if my fortune depended on a QB throwing a ball through a tire swing, I'd take Rodgers.  If it come down to winning a football game, I'd take Brady.

I thought I heard Joe call Aaron "the greatest QB to ever play" yesterday. It's funny because the greatest qb has only played in one super bowl.

I bet that he gets traded to the 49ers this off season.

My expert opinion (wild guess) is he would not have made it.  #80 has the angle and Rodgers is not known for his speed.  But he would have been close (maybe inside the 3) to make the defense have to consider a run on 4th down.

Ten years ago, sure.  He's not winning any foot races at 37.

As a 49ers fan, I would be totally OK with that

That wasn't like Moses and the Red Sea. There were defenders at the goal line ready to challenge him if he made a run for it.

/Maybe he makes it
//Maybe he doesn't

Using Super Bowls won as a metric for determining who is a better QB is silly.

Trent Dilfer is not a better QB than Jim Kelly.

fatalvenom: Rodgers is an insufferable douche.

Unless you know him personally, that's an opinion based on press coverage, which hasn't presented him as likable. I read a few articles and formed an opinion too. I'm reevaluating my opinion based on more data. Try watching some of his interviews on the Pat McAfee show to see a side of him you might not know about.

Ok, let's look at career statistics, including ALL games played, not arbitrarily leaving off the most important games:

Players with the most career passing yards including playoff games
1    Tom Brady    91,452
2    Drew Brees    85,724
3    Peyton Manning    79,279
4    Brett Favre    77,693
5    Philip Rivers    66,405
6    Ben Roethlisberger    66,106
7    Dan Marino    65,871

Most career touchdown passes including playoff games
1    Tom Brady    661
2    Drew Brees    608
3    Peyton Manning    579
4    Brett Favre    552
5    Aaron Rodgers    457
6    Dan Marino    452

I'm not arguing that Aaron Rodgers is better than Brady or any of the other all time great QBs.  I'm saying that using that particular metric to judge the quality of individual players when it is a team accomplishment is not a very good argument.

Probably not, but there weren't any defenders near him.

I don't like how Green Bay is just tearing itself apart right now.  It shows that the luckiest sonofab*tch in the NFL is Mike McCarthy.

Focusing on that one play is missing the bigger picture. LeFleur called a terrible game. He abandoned the run way too early (shades of McCarthy). And Rodgers tried way too hard to feed Adams when other players were open. Look at the how many targets Adams had vs the rest of the team

Valdez-Scantling: 6 targets/caught 4
Davante Adams: 15 targets/caught 9
Allen Lazard: 6 targets/caught 3
Mercedes Lewis: 3 targets/caught all 3
Robert Tonyan: 4 targets/caught all 4
Jamaal Williams: 4 targets/caught all 4
AJ Dillon: 1 target/caught the 1
Equanimeous St Brown: 1 target (which was a TD!)
Aaron Jones: 6 targets/caught 4

See a pattern there????

Look, Adams is a stud...but he drew the best coverage all game long. Tonyan caught all four of his targets. As a TE he scored 11 TDs this season. WTF, Aaron? To pick Brady THREE times and lose??? Sorry, this was a team loss. Not Rodgers choosing to not run and not settling for a FG. If LeFleur was a good coach, the Packers win by 3 scores.Oh, and Pettine...ALWAYS play deep coverage on 4th when it's the last play. Man coverage with 15 seconds? WTF?
