So minimum 3 hours in makeup to get the hair done.  sounds ghastly.

If you're going to cast someone to play a lying, self-serving, attention-whore douchebag, you could do a lot worse than Kenneth Branagh.

A little early to dramatize such historical tellings, isn't it?  Kinda like making a 9/11 movie on 9/20.

Branagh is not doughy enough for that role.  Put a fright wig on Matt Lucas and you've got yer Boris.

The US version has T***** played by Brian Baumgartner wearing a melted basketball on his face.

Branagh is going to need four or five months straight of living in a wind tunnel cranked to full just to get the hair done up right.

A pity that Benny Hill isn't alive to do it.

They can do wonders with CGI these days.

My absolute, favorite portrayal of any character in Harry Potter.  Alan Rickman is a close second.

The US has done a terrible job managing the pandemic.

But somehow the UK has managed to do worse.

Congrats I guess?

When it's been the health establishment doing their thing, the UK has done fine - things like strain surveillance and vaccine rollout the UK has been excellent. It's when you look more at the political management of the pandemic that things have been so blighted by the incompetence, indecision and cronyism.

So unfair to focus only on BoJo's COVID-19 response!

I mean there were  so many, many things that Boris did to destroy his country, the out of control, deadly pandemic was just a happy little bonus that was added to the devastation he caused.

Oh hey I'm sure we all want to watch a farking movie about Covid19 after a year of living through it and hearing about it every single farking day.

WHO's idea was this movie that will never make money even if theaters were open?

Or like a movie about George W. Bush before he's left office.

Like that twit Oliver Stone.

I like his Hamlet, which surprises even myself. I watch it once a year when I'm on vacation. On vacation I don't care how long the movies are.

I genuinely enjoyed Much Ado About Nothing when it came out on the Disney Channel for the first time and have never stopped enjoying it.

Prefer Branagh's Henry the fifth to Olivier's.  He's rather versatile, overall.  But, no, not Boris;  maybe Starmer, or some American Cousin...

I love Branagh's Henry V. Every now and then I try to watch Olivier's, and I just find it to be terrible. It's like a parody. I don't think I've ever made it past the part when Exeter delivers the ultimatum. I'm not a big Shakespeare fan or anything, but Branagh just makes them riveting, in my opinion. Henry V especially is chock full of fantastic performances.

Apparently Rowling (or someone with influence) wanted Hugh Grant for that role. That would have been interesting.

It took five years,

The Nic Cage/Oliver Stone was the same year.

There's a stunt double just to play the hair.
