I hope they have Wojo's girlfriend's brownies up there.

Harris, Detrich, & Levitt not worth the headline electrons?

Only the first couple of seasons but I did enjoy his work there (& elsewhere). RIP

I remember the episode where Chano shot and killed two bank robbers and it really tore him up. Every now and the 12th precinct would have a sober moment among the merriment.

Rest In Peace.

That was one of Barney Miller's best episodes. And Gregory Sierra was excellent in it.

Rest In Peace.

This.

This.

All the other cops congratulating him on what was killing him inside made it worse, but a great episode.

RIP, Chano

FTFA: "The New York City-born actor passed away on January 4, but a spokesman for his family only shared the news on Friday"

They waited 18 days to tell anyone? I wonder why.

Whether Abe Vigoda is alive or not is one of those Matrix/Alternate Universe questions.

We need a complicated word for that feeling you get when you hear someone is alive when you were certain they were dead, or dead when you were certain they were alive.

They are horrible people that don't realize I have some really snarky comments to make on the internet that can't wait a few weeks for them to have time to grieve?  Some people are just selfish I guess.

I've been watching old sitcoms lately and yesterday there was an episode of Barney Miller where a computer error declared Fish dead. So the question of whether he's dead or alive is over 40 years old.

I was born in 1985, so I did not know who he is. Sounds like a big deal, though.

That, ...or they are all deep state paedophiles.

/this was never about medium-known actors from the 70's.
//this goes all the way to the top
///drain Barney Miller

It seemed he was everywhere back in the 70's and onward.
Haven't seen as much of him in the last decade or so.

Hope he didn't suffer much.
Condolences to his family and friends.

If Abe Vigoda is in a room alone with a poison capsule if no one goes to check on him is he alive or dead?

I'm a huge Miami Vice fan, and IIRC, Sierra wanted to be written out of the show.  Whoops.

So long Chano.  Guess all that's left of the Ol' 1-2 is Wojo and Barney.   Sierra did a lot of TV but he had some bit parts in some big movies as well:

The first article I read cited Orange County Health Department as the source. So my guess is there's an entertainment reporter who keeps an eye out for death certificates that list actor as an occupation.

I follow the careers of character actors more than movie stars. This guy was always solid, always held your attention. RIP to a great performer.
