I'd have to call it a toss up between Terror Toons (Joe Castro FTW) and the Ginger Snaps trilogy.

I kind of feel that Thomas Crown Affair fits here because if the giant glaring plot holes.
But it is a fun movie.

Maybe they confuse it with those shiatty "Scary, Epic, Disaster, etc" Wayans Bros movies. But Not Another Teen Movie was actually funny.

Someone didn't like Critters? At the very least girls who are Titanic fans get to see the evil fiance guy eaten by a rabid tribble.

Hellraiser 3. It falls apart a little at the end but Pinhead has some pretty cool dialog and it has a goth Paula Marshall and Terry Farrell (Dax from DS9) and although it wasn't on screen, they totally got it on.

Hellraiser 4 also could have been good with some decent editing and some of the cut scenes put back in.

As a teenager in the late '90s/early 00s, I loved Toy Soldiers.

However, my love for the film was entirely dependent upon the crush I had on Wil Wheaton.

Gunbus, because it has two of the planet's most beautiful women in it.
With Valérie Steffen looking like a cross between Léa Seydoux and Scarlet Johansen and Ingrid Held, yummy.

"TerrorVision" is dreadful. It has the kid who played Tommy on St. Elsewhere and a bad Elvira knockoff. It has a family of swingers, a crazy prepper grandpa, and semi-decent SFX. I love it.

Really like that one, and I don't like many movies, would not say it is "bad" more along cult flick.

2021-01-23 7:32:11 PM
I'm not sure I understand the distinction between "not a cult favorite" and "bad".

For example, The Room (2003) is a cult favorite because it's bad.

I liked The American Astronaut (2001). It's enjoyable but it's not "good". I'm not aware of a cult following but a Google search indicates some people also really liked it.

If something has twenty people who like it they'll meet online and form a fandom. Everything is cult.
What do I know? I rewatch the entire run of Shasta McNasty every few years.

I've always had a soft spot for the James Bond opus, Moonraker. It's so over-the-top cheezy, yet serious. A good yardstick for the pre-Craig 007s.

Yeah I remember this one.  It was fun as a kid, but warning on rewatching it.... its gonna be like rewatching iron eagle which was horrible when I rewatched it last year.

Same for Space Camp.

I sorted my movies by rating. At the bottom is Sharknado and then Showgirls.

And Sharknado has cult following, and Showgirls is certainly bad but how could anyone ever hate it

There was an episode of 3rd Rock from the Sun where there's an incoming snow storm, so the video rental place gets a ton of clients. In the end all that was left were a bunch of copies of Johny Mnemonic. And The Making of Johny Mnemonic.
