Great. Meanwhile, I didn't have change for a toll booth I wasn't expecting so I have to go to AmScott and get a money order for $1.50 and find a place that sells something called "stamps" and mail it in and pray Newman will deliver it before the deadline runs out and they send the stormtroopers after me.

It's almost like some dude high up at USPS sabotaged it so it would look attractive to sell off....

How is DeJoy still in charge?

But for much of the past year the postal system has been strained by the impact of COVID-19 on its workflow and workforce.

That's an odd way to spell Louis DeJoy.

Remember, the US Mint was farked up as well, with a severe coin shortage. Trump's cronies could not be arsed to keep the most basic first world shiat running at acceptable levels. Of course, there was infrastructure week, so...

I had a few pieces of mail that normally take 3-4 days suddenly take 3 weeks. That's insane. There should be some way to remove DeJoy due to incompetence/malice.

Be glad you didn't lose male, too?

My inauguration flute glasses were shipped 27 Dec.  The tracking number has finally shown up as 'received in USPS'.  It's messed up and we know who did it.  Unfortunately, the USPS board has to be replaced before NoJoy can be cancelled.

Sorry, but after they removed and destroyed all the sorting machines in liberal cities to prevent fake liberal ballots from being delivered it is impossible to recover.

Mailed an express package on 12/17 for delivery on 12/23. On 12/22, it was less than 50 miles from its destination. It sat there until 1/19 and was delivered on 1/20.

Mr. Coffee Nerves: How is DeJoy still in charge?

Not direct TV appointment. Appointment by board of governors, at least one of which is a Mcconnell buddy. President of the Bank of Inez Ky doesn't convey postal experience.

I won a contest (Capital One Orange Bowl 2nd prize) that was supposed to be here by December 30th as it had fresh ingredients to prepare food for the game.  It still hasn't arrived.  I messaged the contest provider to see if it was lost in the mail, had been delivered and stolen off my porch, or what.  At this point it may be best if I don't receive it.  At least I got a year of ESPN+ out of it.

You mean 2 weeks to get my small package from Quebec to California isn't normal ?
Guess I was lucky.

Atter-pated bellend really did think his cunning plan through, dinn't he?

In addition, operational changes ostensibly designed to stop the system from hemorrhaging money reduce the public's faith in, and efficacy of mail-in ballots helped create a backlog of mail.

there, fixed that for you

The PMG is selected by the board of governors of the USPS and can only be removed by them (or step down). https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/39/202

That board has been corrupted by the Trumpist filth, which is how dejoy was installed to begin with.

As soon as Biden nominates three new members to fill the vacancies and they're confirmed by the Senate, there will be 5 Democrats on the board and they can burn him alive at stake for being a traitor against Democracy itself... erm I mean "vote him out."

Yeah no mention in the article of the GOP's 25 years of USPS sabatoge.

Maybe if the mass mailers stopped for week the service could catch up.

I mean, I don't want to be *that guy* but, inauguration flute glasses not showing up is kind of a I-still-got-my-job-working-from-home privilege problem.

Had a service provider call me this week wondering where my annual payment is. They mailed me a bill a month ago and a 2nd notice last week. Both bills finally turned up today.

DeJoy specifically targetted certain regions for shenanigans, and needs to be criminally investigated.

It took eight months for my ballot for the primaries to arrive in northern Europe.

Well, in the meantime, they could prosecute NoJoy under the many strict laws for interfering and damaging the mail. The worst part is that he ordered all the sorting machines to be completely destroyed so it is going to be expensive and time consuming to recover; just what the Rethuglicans wanted.

Given that we're still getting mail postmarked early December I am *stunned* that mail voting worked as well as it did.

Meanwhile, I sit idly by awaiting the second stimulus check which irs.gov says was mailed on January 6 with the warning to allow three weeks for delivery.  Surely we can deep six Dejoy for campaign finance crimes (for which he has been accused.)   Arrest the bloody fark fark and I don't mean later.

It would have helped having a Postmaster General who actually cared about helping the USPS. Maybe they could have hired some temporary additional people, especially from the people who have temporarily lost their jobs due to covid.

Seems like the bills come on time, but when you mail them out, they don't get there on time. What's going on?"

Who the fark still mails in their bills? I just looked through my checkbook, the last check I wrote for a monthly bill was my mortgage in 2012, everything has been online since then.

So far I've mainly noticed delays for anything going through facilities on the east coast. When I've shipped USPS anywhere else it seems to have gotten there when I expected. But at least twice now when shipping through somewhere like Pennsylvania or New Jersey I've seen a package suddenly stop...and sit....and sit...until finally a week and a half later it suddenly starts moving again, and then gets delivered within a day.

//Oh, and USPS? "In Transit, Arriving Late" is not descriptive enough
/At least tell me the last facility it went through for crying out loud
