Explain to me again why I want to share a nation with Missourians and Texans, when 45% of Texans and 36% of Missourians think sedition is a-ok?

fark around and find out.

2021-01-23 1:55:14 AM
Gritty for US senator.

2021-01-23 2:41:44 AM
Cruz, a Texan, saw his rating drop 5 points
Cruz's went from 48 percent to 45 percent.

A paragraph down:

Despite the recent drops, a majority of Republicans in both states said they still support the two senators.
In Missouri, 63 percent of Republican voters said they approve of Hawley's performance, down from 72 percent in the survey that was conducted before the Capitol siege. In Texas, Cruz has a 76 percent approval rating among GOP constituents, down from 81 percent.

The scary part is 76% of Republicans still approve of his seditious stance...

2021-01-23 2:53:32 AM
Doesn't matter, these assholes are far too brazen and shameless to step down. They know their constituents are stupid (they elected them, after all) and will lap up whatever seditious garbage they're fed.

They won't ever resign. They'll have to be expelled.

Maybe the Senate can impeach them once they're done with T****.

If those 24% of moderate Republicans sided with a Democratic challenger over Cruz, Texas could be adjusted a hue or two.

/kinda sorry bout the bum...

"Senator Beto" sounds nice.

We've already past the point of idiocracy.

We're at the point if we can actually recover.

If not, we're done.

The number is still too high. Both should be banished from the Senate for their idiotic rhetoric.

2021-01-23 3:15:41 AM
If GOP faithful had already forgotten W (not to mention the Nazis) they're not going to remember their treason.

Clearly they only remember the civil war because of all those statues.

LOL and that means jackshiat because they will still keep their jobs till the end of their terms.

Even if their approval ratings went to zero they still wouldnt lose their job because politics apparently is the only job in the entire farking world where you can be a mass murdering dumbfark who bankrupts and destroy the country but you still keep your job till people vote you out, not before because fark logic.

Oh, I don't think Hawley's keeping that job.  Missouri is mostly pissed at him.

Granted, the most likely outcome is that he'll be replaced by another Republican about 90% as bad as him.

Somehow 45% of Texans like the seditious prick more than his own offspring does.

Farking Clown Shoes: They won't ever resign. They'll have to be expelled.

There is a zero percent chance that 16 Republican Senators and Manchin vote to expel them. As much as I'm sure every Senator would love to slit Ted Cruz's throat and stand over him as he bled out so he knew it was them, not a one would do it because their base would be mad they turned against the cult.

This.

Precedents are soon going to be set by cowardly men and women, and the terrorist attack of January 6 will be absolutely nothing compared to what's going to become a regular occurrence.

I funnied this, because Congressional ethics committees can't do jack shiat to Congresspeople, even if they find they violated some guideline.  The House ethics committee just said "Okie, dokey" to Burr's insider trading, fer chrissakes.

Hear me out.  I think we can fix the Senate by making Susan Collins an ambassador.  We then get a democrat elected in a special election.

The trick will be to find an ambassadorship that Susan will feel she can not pass up, but where she can't really fark anything important up.  I am thinking The Vatican.

Yeah, I'm sure Susan Collins will just up and resign the Senate seat she spent a year fighting to hold on to for a do-nothing job

What makes you imagine that Senators can be impeached? Impeaching Senators isn't a thing. Read the damn Constitution.

Doesn't matter.  They'll both hold office until 2025, by which point idiots won't remember the insurrection and Republicans will pretend Trump was never President.

Well, they can be expelled by a two-thirds vote, which is pretty much the same damn thing. Sorry for getting my terms mixed up.

Why are they even still there?  And I really do mean that?

If what they both did is not deserved of expulsion from Congress, I don't know what is.  Perhaps if they carried a weapon in?  Oh, wait, we have another congresscritter did that, and she didn't get in trouble either.

It seems pretty clear to me that the biggest problem with our government is not that we don't have rules.  It's that no one has any intention of following the rules, let alone enforcing them.

As wide as a Republican's stance in an airport men's room.

Censured is the term you are looking for. No position on any committee no speeches just sit and vote. most constituents will not stand for a senator that cannot do anything for them.

Obvious tag, subby?

I expected Cruzs' approval rating to clime after that, this being Texass and all.

"From 42% to 36%"
,... sigh it's time for that farking stupid ass thought that any leaders polls ever drop below 1/3 of that location's population. You and Nate silver are going to go home, take a nap, eat a snickers and give up on the idea that polls matter anymore. Then if you live in Texas or the other place "new asshole" is from you're going to keep your eye on 2022, and Stacy Abrams is your patron saint.

OK.

They're still in office and are still likely to win if running again because there are enough subhuman filth in their respective states/districts to keep them there, so these polls are meaningless.
