As Smith tells it, Avery was pushing him hard during filming and refused to accept anything less then that final take.  It was the moment he went from Fresh Prince to bonafide actor.

There's an episode of TMNT called Cowabunga, Shredhead! where Shredder gets zapped with a ray that makes him think he's Michaelangelo, so most of the episode is James Avery talking like a surfer stoner dude.

He was shredder?  And that clip is an example of what I used to willingly watch as a kid just get my stories involving TMNT fix?  Faaark me.  Thinly and cheaply created toy commercials indeed.
