We have seen this a million times. At first, they react on their gut feeling and principles. After a few days and a few dozen phone calls, they figure out that they can just forget their feelings and principles and decency and just do what the party tells them.

If they had spines we would have gotten rid of him at the first impeachment.

I'll feel bad for Mitt when every R Senator leaves him out to dry, again.

I gotta say, I'm a huge fan of how she considers all valid points to an argument or situation and then invariably sides with the Republicans, no matter how venal, corrupt, or ridiculous.

It's so hilarious/pathetic that rural farking bumpkins, clodhops and hayseeds get SO MAD that EVIL SOSHALIUSMS might take some of their taxes and use them for America, when they're the biggest mooches of those federal funds and the biggest beneficiaries of the SOSHALISMS in the first farking place.

But she (and Collins, Romney and their ilk) are totally "moderate". Therefore, Republicanism is not an inherently toxic ideology that offers nothing to anyone that wasn't born a multi-millionaire, and the Democrats need to be "bipartisan".

"I can be very discouraged at times with things that go on in my own caucus, in my own party," Murkowski told a trio of reporters on Friday. "But I have absolutely no desire to move over to the Democratic side of the aisle. I can't be somebody that I'm not."

This is what identity politics actually looks like.

Nah. People in rural areas are just easier to manipulate, since they tend to be more isolated from other cultures. Remember, the insurrectionists that raided the Capitol building were middle-class and up, not the stereotype of 'poor rural rednecks'.

The real villains are capitalism, and the greedy, amoral farkstains at the top of the pile who will ruin as many minds and lives as possible to keep their 'high score' rising.

So what we're saying is, centrists have nothing in common with Republicans.

The Bernie bros will be so disappointed.

2021-01-22 9:08:52 PM
Well, none of the rabble specifically said they were coming after her, so the whole thing was overblown by the media.

2021-01-22 9:10:39 PM
Dammit, Joe, you extremist! Why aren't you seeking unity with the fascists who want to tear our democracy apart?

2021-01-22 9:10:56 PM
Ignore those "centrists". They vote against GOP when the vote will pass anyway and vote in line when their vote counts.

There is only one "centrist" that scares me. Mainly because he will likely hold the necessary 50+1 vote in the Senate. Joe Manchin will control a lot of things moving forward and that is BS.

Hell no. It's the only place I can theoretically go skiing w/o altitude sickness (most of their mountains start close to sea level).

So many out of touch moments, but this one made me want to actually strike him:

Romney was in Tampa as part of a three-day trip to the Sunshine State for multiple fundraisers, and made a campaign stop along the way at Buddy Brew Coffee to talk to small business owners and Floridians looking for jobs.

After listening to stories about how hard it is to find work, Romney said, "I should tell my story, I'm also unemployed,

Yeah, someone needs to follow up on this question.  What does she think a Democrat is, that she definitely isn't one?

So, how many of our Very Intelligent Centrists™ are still clinging to the false hope that we can get anything done by trying to work with these GOP jackasses?

"Murkowski is up for reelection in 2022 and is one of the few true moderates left in the Senate, along with Susan Collins (R-Maine)"

That's a lie. If they were moderate, they wouldn't be republican.
