Because Susan Collins scrapped Obama's pandemic plan.

Susan Collins is significantly responsible for killing 400,000+ Americans.

What do you call a parent who denies life saving medicine to her child resulting in the child's death?
A murderer.

What should you call Susan Collins?
A mass murderer.

"Maybe a couple of months from now the needs will be evident and we will need to do something significant."

Conservative == Slow in the head.   Maybe if she wishes hard enough the virus will just go away.  Maybe she should take the time to figure what the needs are now.  Maybe she should have taken the time to do that six months ago.  Maybe by delaying a "couple of months" you make the problem even worse and have to spend significantly more.

It boggles the mind that people voted for her to remain as their Senator.

Maybe a couple of months from now the needs will be evident and we will need to do something significant. But I'm not seeing it right now," she told Business Insider.

Two points:

1) How can you look at America now and not see evidence it needs assistance?

2) How can you say you foresee a problem in the future but say you don't want to do anything to avoid it and will only address it when its already here?

They "mailed" mine on Jan. 6th. Still no sign of it. They direct deposited the first one, but apparently they weren't able to repeat their success (nothing changed on my end).

Idiots.

Well I haven't got mine yet senator so thanks for letting Trump and DeJoy trash the USPS you complicit moron. Maine you had the chance to get rid of her and her concern so thanks from the rest of us.

I like how Psaki pointed out that Republicans focus on the total amount of spending rather than what the spending actually does.  Democrats would be wise to press Republicans on this--so what if it's $1.9 trillion?  What part of that do you actually object to, other than the "big scary number" and "proposed by Democrats" parts?

Well, let's face it, the longer she waits, the fewer people will need the money, since they'll be dead.

Since you obviously have never visited Maine, I highly encourage checking out one of their gorgeous National Parks. Acadia is beautiful.

Just one trip there and your mind will no longer be boggled.

Isn't Maine one of the few or only states paying some people to stay home? I know one of the NE states had a pay-to-stay program in place for a while at least.

<channeling Collins>

1) Large Corporations, who received the lion's share of the last assistance are doing fine for now. Who else should matter.

2) Well, those same corporations may need some more money when this well dries up. After all, how else will their stock value increase right now?

Huh.  She's not concerned at all.

2021-01-22 1:57:54 PM
Can you imagine if Susan Collins was president?

"President Collins! Iran has launched a missile at Florida to retaliate against Trump, we can blow it up before it hits but we need your authorization"

"No, I don't see a problem" - President Collins

"Madam President, Americans are going to be hurt!"

"They're not huring now, no significant efforts are needed" - President Collins

Poorly educated indeed.

Collins, Boebert and Greene have catcher's mitts for faces.

What's up with that?

Either her or Manchin just need to change their party affiliation to Republican now and get it over with. Why tease us for 6 months that anything helpful or meaningful might get passed?

2021-01-22 2:02:37 PM
The problem is that the gulf between the rich and the poor has grown so large that neither side can understand each other. She literally can't understand need. She probably honestly thinks that $600 is a lot of money to a poor person and is baffled that they'd be asking for more money so soon.

2021-01-22 2:02:42 PM
So how many Farkers have actually seen that $600 yet? Anyone?

No sign of mine. I hope that's because the money was better targeted this time.

In the facilities management world, there's a saying.

It will cost $100,000 to fix it on our schedule and $400,000 to fix on its schedule.

Let's maybe not send out relief when that farking virus says we should...or for that matter, when covid-19 decides we should, either.

Manchin is a cock but votes with Dem's I believe 75% of the time. That's the best you will get from WV. Also he's probably mad at Turtle because he's supposed to be the head of a Senate committee and Turtle is farking with that.
Collins can fark right off.

Yup...it was used to pay off a few bills and I got new front brakes on my car. Saved a pile in case we owe for taxes this year.

I received mine on January 4th via direct deposit. Or was your question rhetorical, meant as a lead-in to the humblebrag that you don't particularly need the $600?
