Just tried freeze-dried durian fruit recently.
That... is probably the only way durian should ever be eaten, if the smell *after* is anything to go by.

Several years ago, when Chris Hadfield was commander of the ISS, the crew of "Tested" (including Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman) worked with a few celebrity chefs to come up with new and interesting recipes that could be made using ingredients available on the ISS, and using techniques that work in microgravity.  And then Chris Hadfield made and reviewed the recipes while still on the ISS.
