(Yahoo)   Ted Cruz thought that "Biden cares more about the citizens of Paris than Pittsburgh" line was great way to signal the Trumpers that he was One of Them, but what he didn't realize is, only Trump could say something that stupid and get away with it   (news.yahoo.com) divider line

Let's be clear: to the people he was trying to signal, the absolute ignorance in the comment is the point.

2021-01-22 8:38:04 AM
He probably thinks the Oslo Accords are about a Toyota dealer in Norway.

Stupid is as stupid does.

Even the Dynamite shiatgibbbon technically couldn't get away with it, but he couldn't be hurt by the redress. He had the Armor of Narcissism to stop any self-awareness from getting in and wounding his fee-fees.

America cares about all nations, Rafe, that's why we let you live here instead of shipping your ass back to Toronto.

2021-01-22 8:40:23 AM
Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg quipped in an apparent reference to Cruz's tweet: "So happy that USA has finally rejoined the Pittsburgh Agreement. Welcome back!"

Ha ha, stupid ass Cruz gets burned by a teenager.

Is Ted Cruz competing for the Louie Gohmert Stupidest Human Alive award already? 2021 just started for Fark's sake.

It's a difficult line to walk when estimating just how stupid your cult is if you are not the cult leader.

2021-01-22 8:41:53 AM
Cruz is the dumbest "smart guy" out there.

2021-01-22 8:41:55 AM
The problem with Ted Cruz isn't that he is stupid, he isn't.
The problem with Ted Cruz is he thinks everybody else is stupid.

And a majority of Texas loves him for it.

If all the contestants are from Tejas that is going to be a hard line to stand out in.

This. Cruz didn't make this tweet because he is that stupid. He made that tweet because he thinks his supporters are that stupid, and expected it to resonate.

MisterBill: He probably thinks the Oslo Accords are about a Toyota dealer in Norway.

Don't forget: This is also the man who read Green Eggs and Ham into the congressional record as part of a filibuster against the Affordable Care Act, completely missing the moral lesson of a children's book literally aimed at 5-year-olds.

Which essentially means that the problem is not with Ted Cruz.  The problem is that so many people are really THAT stupid.

They're all in for a surprise, lol

...not to mention that the Mayor of Pittsburgh shot down the potus** at the time, reminding him that Pittsburgh voted Democratic

Pittsburgh is once again responding by telling a fascist pig to go fark himself.

To be fair, Ted Cruz was speaking to Republicans and they are this stupid.

people with bellends for noses AND brains shouldn't talk.

As a resident of Pittsburgh, obsequious booger-eater Ted Cruz can f*ck off right back to Texas, or Canada, or Cuba, or whatever planet he's really from with his ugly wife and JFK killing father.

I don't understand the "loss of jobs" angle. It just changed what industry the jobs are in. As a leader you should be fighting to get these green energy companies and industries into your state to combat job loss. Not fighting against it.

I guess fear and ignorance is how the GOP controls the poor. So that'll never happen. Labor is labor. Catching parts out of a machine for the renewable energy market isn't any different than catching parts out of a machine for the drilling and mining market.

2021-01-22 8:45:26 AM
Pittsburgh hasn't had any steel mills in 40 years.  The economy is based around healthcare and research now.

This is just an emotional sop to the ignorant who are pining for a way of life that was in decline 70 years ago and ended 40 years ago.

MisterBill: He probably thinks the Oslo Accords are about a Toyota dealer in Norway.

Wonder what he makes of Honda Accords.

No, Ted Cruz is intelligent and educated enough to know what the Paris Climate Accord governs. This just shows us what idiots he sees his audience as, his contempt for them.

No, we have at least two new contenders: The QAnon lady from Georgia, and  "1776" insurrectionist tweeter from Colorado.

Oh, and the guy from North Carolina.

Three! Three new contenders..

Let's not forget Gaspedal Gaetz...

Among our contenders are....

I'll come in again.

The political class expends a lot of energy talking about coal mining jobs.  The entire coal industry employs 60,000 people.  Whole Foods Market employs 100,000 people.  There are more Americans involved in elitist arugula distribution than there are doing real salt-of-the-earth coal mining jobs.

I'd love to believe that Beto can make a comeback in 2024, and this time take Ted out.

It all depends on how purple Texas gets in the next four years.

/even four years from now, the GOP is going to hammer him for the "hell yeah, we're coming for your AR-15" comment

Let's be clear, the people who supported Trump were never that stupid. They just liked the racism and evil and didn't want to say it in so many words so Maga.

Maybe Ted Cruz it's just trying to get a threesome going with Gritte and Iceberg so he can unleash his inner Mattythemouse?

I bet you libs also believe that Biden rejoining the WHO benefits anyone other than the citizens of Whoville.

I think the reason Trump could get away with the stupid shiat was he wasn't a politician and he held sway over the base and they ate the shiat that came out of his mouth like ice cream. Cruz needs to win the base first and then he can say stupid shiat, until then he is just some moron politician saying stupid shiat.

Although, the fact that Texas went red this election with only 52% might be a positive sign.  Thought they would be 89%.
