Again, probably just a coincidence that they're announcing all of these "we're working on stuff" surprises after those EC fines.

9.5 mil isn't really a big deal for them.

Oh?  Valve found something that brought them out from their vast pile of money?  Couldn't be bothered with Half Life 3?

I would move to New Zealand if I could.

I'm being actively recruited for a job there and have gone from, "sure, I'll fill out a couple forms and see what happens" to "Hey Mrs Razor, you're going to need to say 'no' at some point, or you're going to find yourself on a plane."

I'd be gone already if I didn't have kids.

Must be nice being able to flee instead of staying to fight. Don't come back.

Less than that actually, that was split between Valve and the developers.  Which just drops it from "morning coffee money" to "hey I found a nickel in the couch".

I can see you in the 1930s: "Jews fleeing Germany, don't come back."

\people leaving the US are the smart\lucky ones. We've seen how weak the US is, and someday, sooner than later, someone who's not an idiot will take advantage of that.

Billionaires like Gabe Newell are persecuted Jews in Nazi Germany on Fark? We haven't even begun the "Aryanization" confiscation of their registered property yet.
