We have lots of squirrels here and as squirrels do, they were getting into the bird feeders.  So, I bought a couple Slinkies, wrapped one around the support pole for one feeder and used two to 'guard' the suet block.  Last week I watched a squirrel make four attempts on the feeder.  I do wish I had a video to share, it was humorous.  The squirrel was unable to grab the pole and grabbing the Slinky just delivered it to the ground.

Haven't seen one tangle with the Guard Skinkies, but I haven't seen a squirrel on the suet since I hung them.
