Shirley, you can't be Sirianni.

Hey Siri, how do I fix a broken QB?

Maybe that was a small factor in Philip Rivers deciding to hang it up.  If the offense was going to change, he is a bit too old for that shiat.

The last really good Iggles QB was Norm van Brocklin, so it's not so much a matter of "broken" as it is "hopeless".

It seems like every coach in the NFL now is either under 45 or over 70.

I'll be interested to see if we get any details on why they didn't wait for Eric Bieniemy. He sure looked like a good fit for Iggles head coach, and Big Red gave him a solid endorsement last week.

That's clearly who I was hoping for.  The stories once Pederson was fired was that Bieniemy wouldn't/shouldn't take the Eagles job, but I was hopeful because of Lurie and Reid's relationship.

Did the announcer really say "QuarterBlack" or is it just me?

I get it, I would think the same way. But was Bieniemy a hot name before he had real life's equivalent of Tecmo Bo Jackson as his QB?

Except that's a good reason why Dougie was hired in the first place, and chances are, Howie didn't want another coach who would try to go against him. I'm convinced that Roseman would rather barely make the playoffs and lose, as long as the coach kowtows to him, than win another SuperBowl and end up with a coach with some clout and power.

Don't slam Roseman too hard. those 5th and 6th rounders aren't doing to be selected in the 2nd and 3rd rounds by themselves, you know.

EB gets passed up another year. This time I'm actually surprised.  Maybe Big Reds shadow is looming over him since he's an offensive minded head coach and in owners eyes (true or not) that makes EB second banana and a tailcoat rider?

As a Chiefs fan i don't want to see EB go but as a general sports fan and fan of EB himself I'm pretty disappointed.

I don't understand why people are surprised about Bieniemy.

I've read that he interviewed poorly in most cases, he does have a checkered past (although it was a long time ago), he isn't 'The guy' in KC (we all know it is Any Ried) and any team will possibly have to wait until after the Super Bowl to hire him - leaving him leftovers to assemble a staff.
