All this really confirms is that Trump was not lying when he claimed to be an embodiment of Lincoln.

All Colonial-era gentlemen had to know how to dance, virtually every big social gathering involved dancing.

No one can live up to George Washington. He is the only President that didn't want the job, voluntarily left it and is well known for sleeping in many ladie's beds throughout the union. He also brewed whiskey.

Ford could dance like a monkey, but only for Nixon.

Al Gore excelled at the one-person tango.

Dick Cheney has a mean soft-shoe.

Dubya's a jig man.

He enslaved people, which necessarily includes bludgeoning and whipping slaves for insubordination, and he probably raped a few on the side. Yea yea yea, he set them free once he was too dead to use them anymore. fark U.S. President worship.

That's why he invented the algorithm.

No need to count Grover Cleveland twice. I'm sure he's as good as bad in dancing during his first time in office as he was the second time.

Would you say he did those things more or less then his peers, and also, did he enjoy it as much?

Would you say that a whataboutism excuses enslaving, bludgeoning, whipping, raping, and executing of a people he hypocritically-claimed were created equal to himself?

Howabout you answer the question-ism?

Here is why it matters: If his behavior stands out above and beyond the norm for his period of time and social station, then he deserves the same treatment as Columbus and Bobby Lee.

If on the other hand everyone did that, then it is a black mark upon the nation and not just one man.

Also, he probably had a guy who beat slaves for him. Is there anything middle-management can't do?

To be fair it's difficult to release slaves if you don't have them

In which case, praising him is still a stupid idea.

So someone that hires an assassin isn't a murderer?

Washington practiced slavery to roughly the same degree as the contemporary U.S. elite. No one knows (me and you included) with 100% certainty whether or not he enjoyed enslaving people as much as his peers. But we do know that on his deathbed he recanted the practice, which implies moral agency. He was well aware in his lifetime that slavery might be completely abhorrent and did it anyways, and under the auspices that all men were created equal. He was a garbage human being, like many Americans from the era and many founding fathers of the era.
