Great article here about Greg Ladanyi, the guy tasked with dragging a huge 24 track machine around to record the album.

You beat me to it.

I once named one of my Car Wars AADA tournament duelling vehicles Rolling Truck Stones Thing.

It wasn't an optimal design (van armor is too heavy and expensive).

But twin VMGs on each side and Flame Cloud Streamers in back can lay down some hurt.

/and of course, it had a sound system
//placed fifth in regional

jim32rr: drewogatory: jim32rr: drewogatory: jim32rr: Horslips ... Haven't heard the name of that band in a long time. Remember buying an album from them in my teens, stoned times.

Great band I always thought. The Tain was fantastic.

Might be time to get stoned and go back in time with some music. This living at work shiat is getting old. 🍺

Hey I just got 2 weeks off! Of course it's because I tested positive. Almost made it too, got my first shot Tuesday and tested positive Wednesday. I work in a care home and we managed to avoid ANY + cases until 2 weeks ago. 11 and counting now, but no one is very sick, thank God.

Keep your head-up, I hope all goes well

Eh, I had very mild symptoms for 4 or 5 days (which I didn't even recognize) culminating in a 2 hour fever spike Tuesday evening, but woke up yesterday feeling pretty much fine. My temp has been under 98 since, no snot or anything. So unless it's sandbagging me, I'm cautiously optimistic while being wildly paranoid.

Mobile studios were the rage in the 70s. There is one on display at the Country Music Hall of Fame that was used to record a bunch of CSN, Graham Parsons, and early Eagles music. Cool display.
