Luckily there won't be a panic...as long as there's still coffee.

SoupJohnB: BigHeadWeb: It's Biden's fault.

Not 'til 12:01 EST

Really not until the first 100 days is up. All before that still resides in the Band of Bastards in the Republican side of Congress and the white house

valenumr: rummonkey: valenumr: rummonkey: TheGreatGazoo: Good. They don't do any good sitting on the shelf. They should be administered as fast as possible after they arrive.

Except that official word is that more than enough was distributed free with the federal program. The previous administration only admitted that there wasn't enough to go around after the incoming Biden Administration decided to be more aggressive with what they believed to be the standing inventory.

Trump lied, more people are going to die.

That's just not true. There literally is no shortage a vaccine production and distribution. Infants, deliveries double this week. Here is a link to raw data from the CDC for pfizer allocations: https://data.cdc.gov/Vaccinations/COVID-19-Vaccine-Distribution-Allocations-by-Juris/saz5-9hgg

You can find similar info for moderna.

This is the story I was referencing

The last Administration claimed that there was a reserve available and it was only when their hands were forced by the next Administration promising to be more aggressive that they had to admit that there is no Reserve.

Or you could look at the actual data and see that the cdc has been schedule two types of batches, one three weeks ahead. So this is the first week that the double batches are delivered (deliveries are a week out from allocations). Any type of reserve is just rhetoric, like the social security trust fund. Give it a few more days for data to be reported (not news, data). Only a handful of states have exhausted more than half of their current vaccine supply. And by the way, the article refers only yo the actual doses allocated specifically to the city government of San Fransisco, completely disregarding the allocations to major healthcare providers in the headline.

I'm really not going to get into a back and forth with you on this. You are looking at CDC data which is the reliable inventory of what has been produced. I am referring to what has been promised to people who don't turn TV access to the CDC data. What was actually produced does not match up with what was promised or distributed. No, that wasn't me by the CDC or manufacturing companies. The last Administration totally comforting lie hoping to not get found out before the next one took over.

Canada is way behind, too.

The Pfizer vaccine can only be made by tech in Germany. They are expanding their production capacity, so Canada has to put a 2 week pause on our vaccinations. The USA is not alone. Although, the USA accellerating their vaccination schedule definitely plays a big role in Pfizer dumping their schedule and screwing up everything. It's a leftover aftershock from Trump farking up the whole world.

My parents were concerned about getting the first dose because they didn't know if there was going to be enough vaccine in their area to get the second dose.

Gee. I wonder if anyone thought about increasing production capacity since the US government preordered 100 million doses last May?

/business got paid
//which is the priority - not vaccinating the public as fast as possible

That's good. It shows that all of it is getting into arms. Not having any left tells them to step up production. Use the Defense Act and get this going! LET'S ROLL!
