Who knows, it depends on the individual I suppose.

TFA was way too long. Does anyone have a summary of the important points?

My brother recently got out of a covid unit where he almost died, and they told him three to four months of immunity at best. The doctors told him that they have seen several people who've had it twice

Eggs are bad. Eggs are good. Eggs are mediocre at best. Eggs will murder you. Eggs are the healthiest...

So... 6 months and a day's worth of immunity?

So the plague rats don't need vaccinations, then. Good, more for the rest of us.

I do.

The antibody epitopes are drifting, dumbasses.  They're drifting because those people still harbor pockets of active virus.  Its almost as if science popularizers have amnesia when it comes to HIV, AIDS, Hep C, Herpes Simplex, et al.

If you are persistently infected you are still sick, not immune.

It's good, until they inevitably clog up ERs and collapse the medical system, which screws us up. The government needs to forcibly-vaccinate the intransigent anti-vaxxer if we are to avoid another catastrophe.

They desperately need vaccination, but with a theraputic vaccine that can happen train the immune system to combat persistent SARS-CoV-2's immune evading strategies.  A DRACO would do.

Thank you. God's work, you're doing there. Not literally. What God has to do with a giant chicken is anybody's guess, and that's the point. Especially when the giant chicken is hungry. I'm hungry right now and I'd eat that giant chicken if it didn't eat me first, with plenty left over, but that's not how it goes.

Is Gary Larson a relative of yours?

Gee...that's how it has worked for millions of years.  It's how nature works.  Some get it and die,
some get it and survive.  Survival of the species....NATURE.
Take precautions if you are in the high risk category, but get on with your life.
This isn't "World War Z" where everyone turns into a bunch of flipping zombies.

This disease lingers after seroconversion.  It will cause cancers and immune dysfunction ending in reactivation and death in much of the affected population without intervention.  It is quite possibly the biggest pathogenic threat faced by a hominid species since the neanderthal went extinct.  You are either acting in bad faith, or an utter imbecile.

Once you remove some of the more inconsequential sentences, the article is quite clear. There's a 30 second stretch that is guaranteed to stop back pain and if you love slot machines, Covid has an app for you. Really couldn't have been more clear.

I'm guessing it's based on all the studies showing long tern/permanent organ damage. But I'm sure YOU know better than teams of scientists and doctors. What references do you have showing that people are recovering completely?

I'm confident that bit about cancer  and immune dysfunction is speculation. Long term cardio vascular and pulmonary issues have been documented.

You know I really don't want long term cardio-vascular and pulmonary issues.

I don't want to get diabetes, either, seems a lot of survivors get that after their covid-19 infection.

Also reported is a large number of survivors will go on to suffer depression and/or anxiety despite not having either before they were infected. At least I'm clear there, I already have those, and it's seriously nasty stuff that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

So cancer would merely be one more gift to add to the growing pile of long-term effects of this illness will bestow you with.

All in all it's a nasty f*cking disease I do not want, because the chances of getting over it and still being farked up in some way for the rest of your life seem pretty high.

I had it in March (positive PCR).  I may have been reinfected (or had a flare up) over the holidays.. but I was unable to schedule a test at that time.  I am doing okay now.. but I cannot entirely dismiss what backhand is saying...  Resting spo2 always around 95 ... and I am only into my 4th decade.
