He is surprisingly tech savvy. Not everyone could wrap their head around a DEC minicomputer and all the analog spaghetti. Too bad the audio is such a mess in this clip.

The Sinclavier itself was massively expensive. And now you can do all that with a free app on your iPhone. The musical notation is pretty cool though. That would take a fair amount of processing, I should think.

Not to be that guy but by this point, Herbie Hancock was creating music no one had ever conceived of with synths.  Oscar Peterson was a relatively late adopter in comparison.

Yeah I looked it up after I commented. I forgot about the computer-controlled synth cards in the thing that shiat was handmade and not cheap to do. I actually bought  broken synclavier back in the day at a school auction. Sold it to pretty much the only guy in the world that can still fix them. Total weirdo
