FTA: "Your conduct has grown unpredictable and even erratic - including rambling and self-indulgent public performances that have baffled experts, citizens and law enforcement professionals alike - making it impossible for you to effectively lead this agency," Trump wrote to Comey.

Every accusation is a confession

It wasn't enough to gift Trump the election because he still wanted Hillary's head.

Comey should treat this letter like a warning from Columbia House or BMG asking me for my next order after I got six CDs for a penny.

I mean, he's not *wrong* about Comey...

In this case, why not both?  Comey should have been erratic with guilt over rat-farking the election, and being partially responsible for Trump.

He was a meaney mean poopy head. And he smelled like pee pee. Can I get Kentucky Fried Chicken now?

Yeah this is not his writing and it is interesting that he is putting out a cover story about the Russia investigation this late. Sounds like someone knows what direction this is heading.

Remember how I have been boring you all to death of the MAGAt three descriptors in their writing? Of course you do.

Count 'em.

That testimony was "another media circus full of unprofessional conjecture, bizarre legal theories, and irresponsible speculation," Trump's letter stated.

There was a Frontline episode about Russian meddling in the election, which had a really fascinating part about the first meeting between James Comey and Donald Trump, shortly after his election.  It was the meeting where Comey was going to tell Trump that there was evidence that Russia had interfered in the Presidential election.

Comey wasn't going to make any specific accusations that anyone in the Trump administration had worked with the Russians, and he wasn't going to say Trump knew.  But Trump instantly decided that the only reason Comey was telling him this was to blackmail him.

He is absolutely incapable of considering the welfare of the country as a whole when he considers these issues.  It's all about how it effects him.

Even a blind squirrel on this one.

Comey's behavior which helped install Trump as the President served all of those goals and was the head of a major Agency acting as Kingmaker.

But his attitude towards Trump? Ineffective and token resistance.

Found another one:

"America needs an FBI director who inspires confidence across all layers of government, and who the public believes to be fair, impartial and beyond reproach," Trump concluded.

This letter was written in 2017, then scrapped by Trump's legal counsel and never sent to Comey. People are just happening to leak stuff about Trump now that he can't do anything about it. I'm still waiting for Ivanka's bad touch stories.

Down in TFA:

The letter had been put together by the president's senior aide Stephen Miller, based on "arguments and specific language" dictated by Trump, Miller's own research, and then "several rounds of edits" from the president, according to Mueller's report.

Yeah exactly. Takes one to know one maybe.

There isn't a fart's chance in a hurricane he wrote that.

Also, Comey had squat to do with the outcome of the election.  If the weeks and weeks of Access Hollywood tape dominating the news cycle didn't cause a dent in his popularity, that farking announcement didn't change shiat. He wanted the FBI to remain a trusted institution, but it was a pointless exercise, because Trump had already conditioned his fans to lose trust in everything and everyone who didn't kiss his ring.

The moral to this story is don't sell out to Trump. When you sell out you will be treated just as poorly and lose all credibility.

Sorry, a very carefully worded letter that happens to have no chain of custody leaked that happens to bolster his entire cover story that he "just didn't like the flamboyant way Comey worked" instead of the real story which was that Comey refused to kill the Russia story.

Nah, sorry, not buying that this letter is leaked  for anything but cover.

Ignoring the source for a moment, some of these criticisms are legitimate(he's a bit of a self-indulgent gloryhound and is on an immaculately timed book pumping tour right now) and Comey was part of the start of this whole thing with his public reopening of the Hillary email scandal two weeks before the election and has recently stated his belief that Trump shouldn't be prosecuted.

Comey has never gotten any sympathy from me. I think Comey was a run-of-the-mill, pre-Trump Republican. I have no doubt that he did not think twice about taking a last minute dump on Clinton's campaign. But once elected, quickly found our what an abject failure, flawed human that is Donald Trump.  He was one of the first Republicans to have his face eaten by a leopard.

He can fark right off.  Butter emails were meaning horseshiat. CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, all gave us Donnie 2 Scoops... not only Fox.
Most of us (at least on FARK) knew he was unqualified and dangerous. There are still too many people that are a threat to this nation.
They are a dangerous cult, devoid of facts. These are seriously flawed humans.
I'm cutting these losers out of my life and scraping their crap off my shoes.

Punch a NAZI.

Well, duh. The 3 letter agencies are always filled with the stompiest jackboots you can find. Which was hilarious when Trump and his cultists painted them all as jealous Hillary donors.

James Comey is that one kid from school who was constantly trying to play one group off another, and ended up with no friends at all. How he ever came to be in any kind of position of authority I will never understand.

After Comey helped rig the 2016 election for Trump, it was sweet, sweet karma that made Trump fire his ass.

2021-01-18 8:26:36 PM
People forget:

1) If Anthony Weiner (who lives in NY) didn't send dick pics to teens, then he wouldn't have been fired,, and there wouldn't have been any question about laptop emails to reopen a fbi case

2) that Rudy had leaks coming from the NY FBI office, who were passionate pro trumpers.

Comey wanted to get ahead of the leaks (mistake #1) in an effort to show neutrality (over-correction error). If a leak came out, he would be accused of suppressing info to sway an election. His best course of action SHOULD have been saying "we don't comment or confirm on these issues".

It was a tough spot and felt he needed to act, when he probably shouldn't have done anything at all.

But if Anthony Wiener didn't send dick pics, none of this would've happened. If you want to blame anyone for Trump, blame him. He was married to Hillary Clinton's closet aide, and caught sexting (like twice!) and using a government laptop.

Most of those statements about Comey are accurate. But there is no way in hell Trump wrote 4 whole pages.
