The "Journalists" haven't learned a damn thing, Subby. They got caught once and legally had to retract their lies.

And meanwhile the rest of us are sitting here with Nazis who want to kill us on one side and the other side is yelling "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" but about Freedom of Speech instead of Right to Bear Arms.

Julius Streicher would have been a headliner on Fox News if they were around 90 years ago.

Has anyone done forensics on Dominion voting machine fabrication? As in who/what exactly was the patient("discredited source") zero from which all the rest sprang?

Yeah, I'm sure they've learned their lesson.

"We can lie all we want, and eventually we'll have to write a retraction that nobody who reads us will care about. How full is our bank account from those page clicks?"

Have politicians faced legal consequences for just making stuff up yet?  No?  Consequences for thee but not for me, it seems.

Well, wait, what if we made lying a crime, at least in their capacity as an elected official.

I don't care if they lie to their wives.

They won't learn their lessons about making shiat up until we pass legislation putting caps on free speech like the rest of the civilized world does, such as making it a crime to pass outright fabrications off as news.

Once again folks, if a conservative organization has a virtue in its title, there is a 100% chance it possesses none of it.

Maybe they won't sensationalize content or push bombastic morons into the spotlight for the sake of ratings.  Trump was full of shiat but he was somewhat right on the media...anybody who watched the Daily Show throughout the Bush and Obama years saw slews of journalism being completely stupid (remember when CNN had the hologram for Election Night, built a "spider hole" replica when Saddam was captured or Don Lemmon asking experts if Malasyan Airlines 370 could have disappeared through a black hole (and not in a big deep farking ocean).

Then Trump comes along and then suddenly they try to up their standards while he takes advantage of their years of sensationalism as a way to discredit them.

As for spotlighting people, do we really need to give jackoffs like David Duke and Richard Spencer airtime on legitimate news outlets?  We don't "need to hear the story from all sides."  Gutter trash is gutter trash and its their responsibility to keep the roaches in the dark instead of out in the open as if they're mainstream, because then you get people walking around the US Capitol with Confederate flags and Camp Auschwitz shirts.

American Thinker bit the pillow, but other organizations and individuals did not. When the judgements start happening the message will be quite clear.

They've done manual recounts which confirm the machine data, there was a paper printout for each vote as I understand it but happy to be corrected if wrong.

The patient zero you seek seems to start with the info that Trump lost during counts of postal/absentee voting after initially leading on the day then count backwards to "voting machines were hacked by Democrats despite zero evidence to confirm this".

It's Trump, plus Trumpanzees making affidavits declaring they saw vote counting practices which seemed hard to understand, no firm evidence of organised voter fraud at all let alone which could account for 12,000 votes in Georgia or many more than that in Pennsylvania.

Make them periodically address the public under oath.

IANAL. But I could see a class action lawsuit against Fox News for damage caused by spreading  misinformation about COVID19. I imagine Dominion will go that route with American Thinker (sic), as the damages are obvious. But it is not a stretch to say people died because of Fox's lies.

And, nice thing about the civil route is the standard is preponderance of evidence. No chance of imprisonment but perhaps these outlets will suffer death from a thousand civil lawsuit paper cuts.

As an elected representative, everything they say in an official capacity, whether it's speaking on the senate/house floor, giving a speech, talking to the press, or posting from their official Twitter/Facebook accounts should be considered under oath, and they should be held fully accountable for every word of it.

I assumed that, too, was pure horseshiat. One doesn't need to expend a lot of time and energy debunking wholly-fabricated claims.

Actually I'd suggest that a 'family tree' of the dissemination of the claim would be fascinating. And I'd love to know who was the common ancestor who fabricated it in first place. Since it almost certainly first propagated on either Twitter or Facebook, it shouldn't be too hard to identify the earliest posts.

That would be nice, but ...

2021-01-18 8:32:11 PM
Dominion sent one of those "preserve documents, we're about to sue you" letters to the My Pillow guy today.  The dumbass responded: "I want Dominion to put up their lawsuit because we have 100% evidence that China and other countries used their machines to steal the election."  If the whole voting machine thing doesn't work out for them at least they'll own a pillow company when all is said and done.

I wonder if there is a way to start suing them for lying about climate change or any other public health concern?  The talk radio guys have to start shelling out money for their madeup bullshiat and you will see a sea change in American politics

Oh puh-leeze. These dopes haven't learned shiat:

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2021/01/our_1776red_sea_moment.html

"The facts of Joe Biden's fraudulent election and preparations for an illegitimate inauguration are now on display for all to see."

"We all now know that the COVID-19 virus was dealt with in ways that invoked fear and kept people at home. This created ideal conditions for Democrat operatives and lawyers to change -- mostly illegitimately -- the voting rules in many states.  All designed to facilitate vote fraud."

Just three days later, and the only thing they have changed is not mentioning "voting machines" or "Dominion". They will still make things up whenever it suits their narrative, and there won't be consequences because there is no company whose reputation is being harmed in this specific case.

Apologies don't make libel suits go away. In fact admitting you made it up maliciously specifically to slander a company's reputation is kinda exactly the opposite of what you want to do when threatened with a libel suit.
