Just this morning, mrs edmo tells me her cousin in Iowa has it. I always liked him but the last four years have been illuminating as he just loves Trump. I remember he asked me about Trump way back in 2015 or so. Like others I ran into in that timeframe, there was actual excitement in his eyes over the Trump possibility.

Anyway, my opinion of him really fell over the years. He's not who I thought he was, which is the saddest thing of this era, that that happens so often, that so many have said the same of people they know. At the beginning of COVID, he ridiculed it saying it was no big thing, He's like so many others who've been happy to look at the disease as a political issue. He's obese and has heart issues and so far, is doing well. I hope that continues.

Why shouldn't they? Effective Wednesday noon they can blame it all on Biden.

November 2020:

Controversy over how Minnesota Senate Republicans notified others of a COVID-19 outbreak in their caucus spilled into a second day Saturday, with top elected officials trading accusations of poor handling of the pandemic.
After several Minnesota Republican senators and staff tested positive for COVID-19, a top GOP caucus leader emailed Republicans on Tuesday to give them a heads up on the news. Senate Democrats, though, were not told their GOP colleagues had contracted the highly contagious disease before a special session was held on Thursday.

Fark you guys.

I posted something a couple of days ago about my uncle dying from COVID.  My aunt is still recovering, but she's not out of the woods yet.  They would not take precautions, and it is infuriating.  He spent all of the winter of 2018/19 recovering from a heart attack and multiple surgeries.  He was diabetic.  He was in practically EVERY high-risk category.  And they chose not to take precautions.

No. They are not. That would imply a modicum of decency and empathy not present. The want what they've always wanted. Maintaining power at all costs. Republicans are essentially rapists and child abusers.

2021-01-18 3:14:39 PM
They would rather drown in their own lungs than admit that a liberal could have been right about anything, ever.

Liberals need to convince them to do something that harms themselves but not others.

Ya' just know we're three days til the assholes demand impeachment of Biden, Harris, and every Democrat in congress because 400,000 Americans have died.

Fark you, MAGAts. Fark allll of you.  REPUBLICAN President Donald Trump, his admin, his enablers, and anyone who voted for him in 2020 must *never* be forgiven.

And brace yourself:  What we find out actually happened the past four years is going to be _horrifying_ -- and for those of us who have been paying attention, too.

Um, I couldn't find the part in TFA where it says any Republicans are "concerned" about C-19. Only the usual indications that they still don't give a rat's arse about contracting or spreading it.

Yeah, I may think Trumpists are responsible for so many of the ills facing this country and have utterly failed their responsibilities to others in a pandemic, but I don't want them to suffer medically from it. People in the rank and file suffering is not what holding Republican leaders to accountability means. They have the potential to learn from their mistakes and make contrition and restitution. And they should get to doing that and apologizing afterwards.

Honestly - nobody really wants to hear from these morons about anything. The rest of us decided a long time ago to listen to the scientists, and we're f***ing exhausted from hearing their chirping, and dealing with their obstruction, ever since.

That's what I think North Dakota's posturing is about. They want to LIBERATE their citizens to spread disease without a mask mandate or reduced occupancies inside business locations, so Big Bad Biden looks Bigly Bad when he farking finally rolls out a unified, nationwide plan to get this shiat under control by un-Ref*cklican-ing the country.

If that's true, there's been very little indication of such. At best (MN Sen. Gazelka included), they tend to change their tune SLIGHTLY and only after they are personally affected. Paul Gazelka is a piece of shiat and Sen. Relph most likely contracted the virus (that killed him) at one of Gazelka's maskless holidy parties. Also, Relph helped write/introduce legislation in November attempting to curtail the Governor's emergency powers/authority. I'd say he got what he was asking for. Good riddance.

The death cult Tiny Dick Daughterfarker GOP is so different from the Tea Party GOP.  The old GOP would have claimed someone tested positive (when they were completely healthy) to scare away Democrats, giving them a chance to pass whatever they wanted during the special session.

I'm not sure why Relph's family is batching at Gazelka. I'm sure he bears some responsibility, but Relph took his own 76 year old ass in there. He was old enough to know better.

Be prepared for the eventual "Trump kept US deaths under 235K before election day, and honestly since only 8% of those deaths were from COVID it was really less than 20K deaths. In the years since it happened, the CDC has estimated a total of 750K deaths from the disease. Ergo, Biden was responsible for what happened."

That's basically what Idaho just did, when they shot down a legislator's request that they let her conduct business remotely since they refuse to wear masks in session, because she's a paraplegic with a lung condition.  They said it is "not an appropriate way to represent constituents," so now she has to choose between representing her constituents and not dying.

These people are goddamned monsters and they always have been.

FTA: And while Republicans insist that their freedom was at issue in refusing to wear masks or enforce mandates, such events and the death of Relph raise urgent questions as to where individual "freedom" ends and where responsibility to others begins in a pandemic during which breathing shared air can be fatal.

Responsibility to others is what socialism is about so they hate it.

FTA: "These are people that think they're good, kind, compassionate people, and yet they don't act that way."

A lot (most, all?) of them are member of a religion that teach them that deeds don't matter, only beliefs, faith not work.
