Once again, your reminder that the Blades are Sheffield United, since Sheffield has two professional soccer teams. Though admittedly, Wednesday (who have the better kit) have been stretching the definition of "professional" with their recent conduct.

so this will end 1-1

Sheffield Utd remember who they are

2021-01-17 9:06:47 AM
Okay, now jose can go 1-9-1

2021-01-17 9:06:48 AM
That didn't take long.
Headed in from a corner in the 5th minutes.
Spurs up.
0-1

Strange to remember that Wednesday were in the top flight until around 2000, and founder members of the Premier League.

Son's chip over the keeper hits the outside of the post.
Almost two for Spurs.

Some kind of anti-Spurs kit? Oh wait, it's not black, it's...green?

Did, did Spurs manage to Spursy up reversing their usual white kit and got green instead of black?

2021-01-17 9:17:59 AM
tottenham 20/21 is arsenal 19/20

2021-01-17 9:27:57 AM
I see it's 1-0 to the Spursenal.

2021-01-17 9:35:18 AM
It should be 1-1, but that pass was overcooked.

Yeah, thanks to a couple of cup finals in the 90s, I always think of the Owls as the better Sheffield team, despite the reality of the Blades having been in the EPL much more frequently and recently.

There's some clubs that I always think of as top flight because they were when I was younger, despite the reality:

Wednesday
Leeds
Nottingham Forest

Being the big three, with Sunderland and Villa yo-yoing

it should be 3 for spurs, like the fulham game, but spurs

Princip's Sandwich: I see it's 1-0 to the Spursenal.

To be truly Spursenal, it should be 2-1 Blades by now.

2021-01-17 9:40:54 AM
And this is why Sheffield should go straight to League One.

2021-01-17 9:41:30 AM
Kane makes it 2

the white kit looks greenish in negative

Tottenham green kits: negative football.

Turn over in midfield cost the Blades.
Kane into the low far corner.
0-2

Spurs this season remind me of the NY Giants that year when they lost all their games in the last 2 minutes.

Best 58 minute team in the NFL, meet the best 80 minute team in the EPL.

Still not out of the Spursy zone.

It is not possible to get out of the Spursy zone.

Much like Depor and Mallorca being European mavericks. Depor even has the CL record for... highest-scoring defeat, 8-3 against Monaco in the worst kit of all time.

Depor's slumming it up in Segunda B as Mallorca battle it out in Segunda.

/still got bad memories of Roy Makaay and Samuel Eto'o making Real's life hell

2021-01-17 10:01:22 AM
I think Makaay still holds the CL fastest goal record. Scored against Real, naturally.

2021-01-17 10:06:44 AM
At half time Roy Keane said just about everything bar Sheffield UTD are utter crap.
He might just as well have said it to be honest

Spursyness starts.
McGoldrick heads home one.
1-2

Get coffee and of course Spurs give up the goal.  Hopefully, JoMo doesn't turn the tran into a hermit crab trying to preserve a 1 goal lead.

Who am I kidding?

That sound you hear is a bus being parked.

I think that was intended as a cross, considering N'dombele had his back to Ramsdale and the goal, lifting it up.

I can't hear anything over the sound coming off the Bay that is akin to a flute

Today's Oddly Specific Stat:

All of David McGoldrick's Premier League goals came against clubs who were in the knockout stages of the Champions League in 2010-11.

I feel like Son has been off his best today.

Still, even 90% of Son is better than 100% of most players in the league
