7. Canola Oil Is as Good as Olive Oil

Olive oil tastes better.

I stopped using Canola oil a long time ago because I didn't like the flavor, but I suppose it's possible I didn't recognize rancid oil when I tasted it back when I made that decision. Rancid anything tastes horrible.

...while white chocolate is made from cocoa butter, lecithin, milk, and sugar.

Important to note here that if it contains some other fat other than cocoa butter, it's going to be crap. Maybe the good stuff isn't your cup of tea, and that's fine, but I really think a big part of white chocolate's bum rap is all the horrible "white coating" that's out there ruining white chocolate's reputation. If your mouth got that unpleasant feeling of being coated with solid fat, that wasn't white chocolate you just ate.

I like canola oil well-enough for a lot of purposes (obvs. not for raw fruity-flavor, lol) - but...

I feel as if canola oil goes rancid much more quickly than olive oil (in fact, I'm not sure I've ever had olive oil go rancid, not even once?) - this is 1 unsolicited sample non-point of anecdata, but there you are. I've thrown out canola oil; I have never had to throw out olive oil. make of that what you will.

canola oil ALWAYS tastes bad to me! even on a very fresh bottle i just opened. it has a weird, off-putting, faint fishy-ness. i think i read somewhere this could be a genetic thing? like the cilantro haters? (i personally am a cilantro LOVER.)

but i won't even buy canola anymore. anyone else experience this?

I use grapeseed oil for popping popcorn and other high-temp uses, and I keep it in a dark cupboard.   Never had an issue.

10. No really you can have a high BAC only after a few hours of sleep??

4. My local grocery stores have ultra-pasturized milk, the organic brand costs over $1 per 8 oz.

1. All organic molecules have some very small amounts of Carbon 14, the radioactive isotope of Carbon.

BAC keeps going up for a while after you stop drankin', I d'nno the exact numbers.

I buy shelf-stable UHT whole milk from the hamazons, whenever the camelcamelcamels emails me that a 6-pack of quart boxen drops under $10 (limit 4 cases, lol) - so ends up being like $0.04875/oz, or 39c per 8oz in your metric. not organic, but at least it's non-rBST.

best not be eating any long-pig then, either!

That could very well be what I experienced. Kinda hard to remember, I haven't bought any in 30 years.

Yeah, tfa got that part wrong. Lots of milk is Ultra-pasteurized without being UHT shelf-stable aseptically packaged stuff. (The packaging is a big part of the process, each container is sterilized with H2O2 just before filling). Parmalat tried selling it in the US for a while in the mid-90s.

Also you have to factor in the water for the sugar, since most of us don't drink naked almond milk.
