Donating to the GOP right now could be interpreted as supporting insurrection against the government.  That has to be awkward.

FTFA "Republicans are worried that a corporate backlash stirred by the deadly Capital insurrection could crimp a vital stream of campaign cash,"

Republicans aren't worried about the violent insurrection on the 6th, or the deaths and injuries it brought, or the threats to the lives of our leaders, or threats of more violent insurrections, or the survival of our democracy, or the lies and the lying liars who continue to promote violence and insurrection. Nope. Republicans are worried about getting cash and keeping their jobs. F. U.

Republicans like to screw us all over legally.

They don't need this horrid Klan business.  They own the courts.  They can legally lynch black people with the thin veneer of civilization intact.

Unfortunately, I doubt if the downtown in donations will last very long.

FTFM.  Not sure where the heck November came from but my brain is very stuffy and painful today.  Stupid covid.

Fox News and OANN are still booking ads.

Shiatty ads, but nonetheless.

Aside: when GF has TV on (I can't stand it anymore), the only local ads now are competing, loud, garbage, ambulance chasing lawyers.

If you want to lower your taxes, donate to Republicans.

On the other hand:

If you want a functioning society, donate to Democrats.

Republican politicians will continue to do their worst in order to prevent our having a functioning society, but we must keep trying.

There's that tipping point when throwing "Respect" out the window in your one track push for power just comes back to bite you in the ass.

No Respect for the Constitution, the voter, the truth, the law, the Congress, the Capitol, the heritage ... finally arrives at No Respect for your own donors and patrons and their businesses.

This is where I start wondering why the ever living fark the GOP is sticking with Trump.

He's now cost them, the House, the Senate, the Presidency and now, he's committing the greatest cardinal sin of all; the greatest sin that any many can commit within the ranks of the GOP: He's farking with the MONEY.

So, what? He's cost the party basically everything. Is it black mail or black males that keep them sticking to his ass like barnacles.

Because that's about the only two options left.

I won't do business with any corporation that votes for anyone that does not support Trump's Impeachment.  Enough is enough.  Those that do not oppose American terror support it.  There is no middle ground.

When the fark was the last time a Republican tax cut reduced the taxes of anyone in even the 10%?

HerptheDerp: Because that's about the only two options left.

You are discounting "He is the purest form of what the Republican Party has been explicitly telling everyone they wanted to do to America since 1876"  Republicans don't object to what Trump has done because it is literally ticking off their party platform planks one by one.  Trump has been the single most successful Republican since they got rid of Lincoln as measured by doing what the party wants done.

I cannot wrap my brain around the fact that a political party just conspired to overthrow the government, both with violence and with legislative sabotage, and we're just letting them run for office again, like it's no big deal.

2021-01-16 3:57:43 PM
I welcome this corporate reckoning. But it was still not OK back in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Between the GOP losing funding, QAnon thinking that Trump is a liberal plant and all the idiots going to jail. The coup attempt is not working out how Trump and the GOP co-conspirators thought it would go.

They 'thought' that Mike Pence had the power to declare Trump the election winner, and since he wasn't doing that, he must not WANT to, which makes him a traitor.  So they were going to force him to do so, then kill him.

It was never going to work like that.

Racism, white supremacists, sucking Vladimir Putin's dick, genocide, and "not letting science get in the way" was all peachy keen and that all still remains 100% wonderful in the eyes of the companies mentioned in the article.

It's the fear of getting their bank accounts frozen for financing foreign-linked terrorism that is inspiring the companies to turn against insurrectionist Republicans.
