So, you're saying that at 4:20 there's going to be a lot of smoke.

I can dig it, man.

SLS seemed outdated and cobbled together when first conceived, and more so now with everything SpaceX has done and is doing. That SRBs still scare the shiat out of me.  If Starship comes in anywhere near the cost claims that Elon has projected SLS is going to be a short lived money burning waste.

Per space.com NASA has changed the time to 4 PM ET.

styckx: SRBs still scare the shiat out of me.

The Soviets wouldn't use SRBs. They thought it was too dangerous. Real-world Kerbal Space Program wouldn't use the damned things. Think about that for a second.

Nice drone shot.

I'm sure when they arrive the commander of the SpaceX base will be happy to provide rooms in the guest quarters.

"... hear those engines rev up ..."

It's NASA, not NASCAR!

Or Roscosmos. Check for Soyuz startups on YouTube.

Yeah, well, I hope this does not cut into the Packers game.

We built a fantastically efficient, reusable engine.  And then spent hundreds of millions more to make them single-use.

Maybe it should anger y'all, this test probably costs as much as grabbing a used SpaceX rocket and ACTUALLY put something in SPACE again.

any money spent / wasted on space stuff is still money better spent than on a stupid wall or tanks the army doesn't want.

Are they going to light this thing up? Or what.

I don't have all day....

...Actually, I do have all day. However, this is becoming boring. I've got a 3D Printer to setup...

So is the headline optimistic or pessimistic?

Neato! What kind of printer? I have the entry-level Creality Ender 3 V2. Total entry level stuff. I just want to see how much fun it is.

Two Trees Sapphire plus. large format core XY but I'm already building a BLV cube to replace it.

Ender 3 is a good starting printer. there are tons of mods and upgrades.

3d printing is probably the most fun you can have while being completely frustrated and spending large amounts of money.

Despite the fact the actual time is 1702.

NASA feed is apparently on a 40-minute delay.

Was about to post this. Would be helpful if NASA had timestamps on cameras other than the engine close-up.

With the delay, I wonder if they're just showing earlier video that they'd captured. I'll admit that I haven't been watching for the last 45 minutes.
