But it's fine for our recently departed Transportation Secretary, the wife of the Senate minority leader, to have close family in a huge Chinese shipping company with ties to Chinese political elites. It's not like transportation has anything to do with global shipping between the first and second largest economies in the world.

The only exceptions being when they fark over their fellow plutocrats--looking at Bernie Madoff and Charles Kushner and not many others, as most of them know not to do it.

Like it isn't pretty much literally everyone's unofficial platform?  We just say it out loud when we're pointing at others.  Doesn't mean we let attempts go or ignore them - does mean attempting to pretend that only those guys do it is a bit much.

I'm not going to bother searching for an article about some major technology that the US has stolen from the Chinese, mainly because I've never heard the accusation before. However, I will leave this link from earlier this year:
