Oh I though it was my company but everyone is required to wear a mask and asked to leave if they don't. They still shouldn't be allowed inside imo and the opinion of everyone else that works there but, ya know, corporate farkknuckles make the rules.

Easily remedied.  Burn his restaurant to the ground.

The United States is based on the inalienable, unconditional right of white men to earn profits.
If you cut right down to the truth, it's the only right that has ever existed in America.

We see articles like this but rarely any follow up detailing numbers of patrons who were infected by their own stupidity. I demand to see more about the stupid folks who spend money at these establishments and their innocent victims. The fact that an owner was resolute in their anti-science stand does not detail the affected and only shines the 'look at me' flashlight on this attention whore.

Cenacolo restaurant violated state COVID-19 rules because he does not enforce the state's mask mandate.
Salvi tells Pittsburgh's Action News 4 that he questions the science behind Pennsylvania's COVID-19 restriction. He also says he's ready to take the state to court and has hired attorneys.

Soooo, let's see:

1. Only had to follow masking and distancing protocols.

2. F*ck the science THEY ARE BUSINESS OWNERS WHO DO THEIR OW RESEARCH!

that reinforces the truth: the only real vote an American has is with their dollar. stop spending your dollars on a particular businesses good or service and they go out of business.

These kinds of decisions have long-lasting consequences. If you as a restaurant owner care so little for the health of your staff and customers that you'll put their lives at risk by breaking health codes during a pandemic, why should I assume you do anything different when it comes to food safety or cleanliness?

I assume the thought process continues from Covid - "The government can't make me wash my hands! Science says rats carry disease - but can they prove it? REFRIGERATION IS THE TINFOIL HAT THEY USE TO KEEP GOD OUT OF YOUR BRAIN WAVES!"

If I see a restaurant open for indoor seating in violation of state law today, I still won't be going to that restaurant a year from now even when the pandemic is over. I simply don't trust you as a business.

Oh, this is one of my favorite restaurants (no joke, their food is farking great) and it kills me that I can never eat there again. I got takeout from there very early in the pandemic, and like half the staff had no masks on, so this isn't terribly surprising.

Unfortunately this stunt will probably make them more popular around here. I live surrounded by people who still have their Trump signs out, and those people would eat rat shiat if you told them the government didn't want them to

After the riots, Westmoreland County was the only one where more people switched from Dem to GOP in party affiliate. So, it may be going off the deep end

Well, it was a net change of 141 people in a county of over 300,000 people so it wasn't that many people. But still, not a good look you're right

I grew up in Armstrong county.  Let's face it: aside from Pittsburgh itself, southwest PA is a land of ignorant fake rednecks and science deniers.

I'm not surprised by this, nor will I be when my cousins defend his "right" to run his business however he wants and yell about governmental overreach.

My state has no actual rules, just lame suggestions.  Like keep the gathering under 100!  Useless farking Governor and lackies.

My local convenience store had a rental property along side it, some old guy sold fishing equipment as a hobby from a 15 x 15 unit.  I notice six pickup trucks in the parking lot, as I stop to buy gas.  No one is in the convenience store, weird.  "Oh, they're in the back back room, eating their breakfast."

A few days later, there are a dozen trucks in the parking lot, a few days later, the lot is full and people are parked across the road.  So, maybe 20 people crammed into a 15 x 15 room.  Stigginit!  Wonder if their wives/families know they're drinking their breakfast in a low budget impromptu Knights of Covid lodge.

My local tradesmen are imbecile children.

Turn off all his utilities since he's operating illegally. Let's see how long he stays open with no power, water, etc and no ability to buy alcohol. My guess is he folds in under 48 hours.

Agreed- I grew up in the neighborhood where this restaurant is located, and the food is truly amazing. This story is really disappointing.

Pull his business license(s) and seize the operation because if the guy refuses to run his business in a safe and legal way he doesn't deserve it.

I do feel for small business owners caught up in this mess and losing their business to no fault of their own though.

Coverage of this idiot seems like an advertisement for the like minded to come to the Cenacolo restaurant and catch COVID.

What does Cenacolo in mean in Italian?

Well it and its English variant "cenacle" mean  "dining room" or group that meets there  but is most commonly applied to The Last Supper or paintings thereof.

The advertisement should be "Come for your last supper - you'll never eat out again".

Just to be clear. The guy changed his affiliation in September, not in response to the Capital riots. I mean, he's still a shiathead, but not that much of a shiathead

What is with the outrage?
We need a way for stupid people to get together and die.
We almost elected Trump twice, there are too many idiots.
Darwin says he is sorry about the collateral deaths, but at some point stupid is fatal.
The sooner we let it be fatal the better.

I'm in Beaver county now, and it's pretty similar around here. What has surprised me is the number of chain restaurants announcing they were opening dining rooms over the last week. But hey, at least I'm not in Fayette county anymore.
