My money is on they have no clue what he did, based on their source of news.

Nice to see 51% of Missouri voters poke their heads outside of the MAGA echo chamber.

/its a start

It's refreshing to see an obviously malignant piece of sh*t like Josh Hawley get cut off at the knees this early in his political career.

What the poll doesn't say that of those that want him to resign 34% want him to resign so he can focus on a 2024 White House run.  I kid, but Missouri is pretty derpy, /Missourian

2021-01-15 3:26:36 PM
Well, presumably it took more than 51% of the voters to put him in there, so it's not like he's in any danger.

I mean, what are they gonna do? Vote Democrat?

The other 49%: if he signed it once, why does he need to re-sign?

2021-01-15 3:29:46 PM
You just know he started last week believing he could catalyze the upcoming events to catapult him into the presidential contender ring, and now he's just hoping to avoid being ousted from his current spot. This sick reliance on weaponizing the cult of ignorance is finally backfiring, but the whole of the country is getting hit with it. I miss integrity.

The problem with Missouri is that so many of the blue city votes from KC and St. Louis are in neighboring states. Especially KC. Bring them in and we'd be purple-leaning-blue, at worst.

/ Taking the ones away from Illinois wouldn't turn it red thanks to Chicago, and the ones in Kansas aren't helping them much anyway.
// I mean there are also other problems, like that the state's boring and exceptionally ugly, but politically, that's the main one.

Fake poll.  The real poll is in Russian and asks the 98% of voters  Да или нет.   The question details would be filled in later.

He lost his biggest financial backer, which these days means alot more than a random poll.

My experience with Missouri is limited to driving through, but I certainly didn't think it was ugly.

The Ozarks are actually very pretty. If you can look past all the Branson billboards.

Missouri born and raised Farker (now in GA):

MO has definitely taken a hard right turn over the past two decades, and a lot of that is because they love all of Trump's qualities, but the one thing they don't abide by is their politicians making an embarrassment of the entire state. See Ashcroft in 2000 (lost to the deceased Mel Carnahan for Senator), Blunt in 2008 (one term ineffective governor), Akin in 2012 (legitimate rape guy), Greitens in 2018 (the S&M governor), and now Hawley in 2021.

Right wingers like John Danforth and Kit Bond who lay low with a meh profile can be elected for life, but when you make an ass out of the state, they will generally drop you. Maybe McCaskill can rerun in 2024 with a different style campaign attacking him as a pathetic coward and an enabler for terrorism and sedition.

Must have been in the Ozarks, during the right season.

Couldn't have been I-70. Unless you mistook all the billboards and creepy-looking sex shops for the state itself :-/

They didn't clarify. It's 51% think he should resign but will still vote for him over anyone with a democrat attached to their name. From Missouri, on the up side my neighbor finally took down his trump flags.

Like I mean I know the Ozarks are alright but if the best thing you can say about something concerning a state is that the very best of it is almost as good as Arkansas, that state sucks at that thing, badly. All I'm saying.

And the Northern half isn't even that good. It's mostly uglier than Iowa. Yes, really.

It's going to get worse for Hawley and Cruz.

In the next few months, we're going to find out how heinous this farking thing really was.  We're going to find out that more than likely, a number of Congressional Republicans provided the traitors with intel, money and support in their attempt to hold on to power by force.

Maybe they weren't part of that, but it'll make them look worse by association.

2021-01-15 4:35:55 PM
I don't want to be the "I don't believe those numbers" guy, but yeah... Ain't no way he isn't coasting to easy re-election in 24 (and Blunt in 22) assuming he isn't running for President. God damn, we're a stupid state. Mizzou is a pretty liberal college by SEC standards, but the rest of the state (outside KC/STL)? Damn. My wife and I walk the dogs around the subdivision every night, and there's one house that still has his Trump/Pence sign up. We've started a bet on the exact day it comes down. It wasn't any step of the certification process, and it wasn't when he incited a riot, so if it isn't down next Wednesday, I guess we'll be staring at that shiat for 4 more years at least.

I went to school in Northern Missouri and can confirm.
