An almost identical article appears to be up in the entertainment tab...

Cynical me is rolling his eyes, but the kid who played the hell out of those games in me has always wanted to see a hyper violent Sub-Zero and Scorpion movie.

How about a thumping techno soundtrack to go with it. That was the best part of the first movie.

Still no trailer.

Oh sh*t.  For a few months now, I've been reporting *earlier* threads as repeats of *later* threads.  Mods usually recognize that I'm yanking their chains.

But this time they did it, they actually removed the earlier thread.

The important thing is that there can be only one.

I wish the article(s) would be more clear that it's the first movie to feature signature fatalities; the first two had plenty of losing fighters killed at the end of their kombats. The first one even easter-eggs a Friendship finisher.

The animated movie that came out last year was hyper violent but not live action. Give that one a go for the MK playing kid on you!

The creepy bastard behind the voice of FATALITY! is a buddy of mine. Fatality took more than one take, as he talks about below.

He's also a pretty good pinball designer.

You couldn't design a good fighting game in the 90's w/o a great techno soundtrack. People remember Streets of Rage more for the music than the actual game.

/fark Youtube, they took down the best versions of that soundtrack
