He's kind of landing in the perfect situation. $100m in cap space, tons of early picks, a #1 pick considered the greatest QB prospect since Luck, insanely low expectations, and nice weather.

Of course, being Urban, who knows how long it will take for his "health issues" to bubble back up?

Is he cool with living in London?

Just wait until he has to deal with a player's agent.

You can't just yank their scholarships if you don't like them, Urban.

You don't really think they're legitimate?

That was one of the reasons I was originally wary of him coming to Ohio State. Not that I felt he couldn't coach but if a guy can't go 100% like he wants to and needs to in order to be successful, where does that leave you? You either have a coach who can't do things all the way or you have a coach who does give everything he has and then has to walk away for his own good.

Just based on what I've heard from friends who are fans of Ohio State or Florida. I'm a Kansas fan (yes, we exist), so I'm just relying on what I've read, heard, and conjecture.

Watch out Jacksonville bars, here comes Shelley Meyer!

I have a sneaking suspicion they might try to trade down to 2 or 3 to get Fields instead of Lawrence.

Fair enough.

I don't see that.  Honestly, I see the Jets trading their pick to Houston for quality players around Darnold, the Texans trading away an unhappy Deshaun Watson to either Atlanta or Indy to replace their sunset-in-their-careers QB's, and the Texans taking Fields.

Urban Meyer is going to the NFL for one reason...to succeed where Nick Saban failed.

I would love the Jets to take 3 of their 1sts (or even all 4) in the next 2 years and trade it for Watson.
If you figure they are spedning a #2 on Fields or Wilson, then trading 2 firsts (which were received for Jamal Adams) for a proven top 10 QB would be a great deal.

In the end I really doubt the Texans trade Watson. But I think only the Jets, Dolphins, and Jags (though I would doubt they would not draft Lawrence) have the draft capital to trade for Watson.

duckpoopy: Jacksonville smells really bad.

I've only been there once or twice but did notice the funky smell. It's not quite as bad as the east side of Houston but that's due to refineries (ie "the smell of success"). I'm not sure what Jacksonville's excuse is.

Does Houston have any capital to send back to the Jets after Miami getting all of those picks for Tunsill?
