$5k is stupid cheap for that. Even new Honda Groms are close to $3.5k and the Monkey and Super Cubs are around $4k too, and that's before BS dealer fees.

I wan' one. My work has charging infrastructure. It'd make a nice commuter for me, then I can convert the Street Triple into a track bike.

Looks like WP on the front fork. That's an expensive piece. Michelin Road 5 tires. Hand actuated rear brake. Would be nice to have a foot actuated one. Lets hope they keep the front brake on the right with the throttle tube. I road my friend's electric bicycle and forgot that bicycles usually have the front brake on the left. It as an.. uhh.. interesting moment.

I'm looking at this thing and thinking there's no way they can produce it for $5k with the same fit and finish as shown in the pictures. The aluminum swingarm and main frame looks really complicated to machine, so it's probably a casting that will crack at those sharp corners. The brakes are a weird choice as a Brembo sub-brand. Nissin 2 pots would have been fine and probably cheaper.  The adjustable compression and rebound WP suspension is too expensive and likely overkill on a 200 lbs bike that only goes 80 mph and isn't going to be canyon carving. Even Honda uses non-adjustable or pre-load only on Groms and little things like the CB300, and they sell like 10,000 of those a year.

I'll wait until a few reviews come out before plunking down some money. Or find one second hand in a few years after some rich bro douche kid gets one on Christmas and only rides it twice because it doesn't have as much power as the gixxer he wanted.
