Oh great. Does this mean DCEU movies are going to suck now?

*sigh*  Yeah.

And it's retroactive.

Maybe if he just stopped saying "waffles" they might not have canned him.

Well, Fisher Stevens is trending, so... mission accomplished, I guess?

Actually: no, really, I'm sure that Joss Whedon is history's greatest monster and you are just the first person brave enough to admit it, you trailblazing, not-at-all-utterly-forgettable actor, you!

(drawing up a petition to replace Ray Fisher with Fisher Stevens in all future DC live action Cyborg appearances)

Unknown person decides not to take role of inconsequential character. Nobody notices.

No film at 11...duh.

Ghost Roach: Boojum2k: NeoCortex42: Last Man on Earth: I'd go a step further than that.  If someone told me Whedon was a pain in the ass to work with, that he was temperamental, emotional, a control freak, even verbally abusive, I'd say "yeah, I can picture that."  He's got a small stable of actors willing to keep coming back, but that also kind of suggests those are the people who work well with his style and are willing to put up with his weirder shiat.  He's hardly the first "auteur" to fit that profile.  Hell, if he'd come out claiming a racial angle, if someone could support the allegations, that would be something worth discussing.

He's an admitted workaholic.  So yeah, it's not hard to imagine him being a bit much to work with, although I'm sure he's still well below the likes of Kubrick or Hitchcock as far as "abusive directors that somehow continued to get people to work for them".

The closest thing to a specific complaint I've seen on this whole thing is that Fisher was mad about his part being cut down as well as reducing the screen time or cutting out other minority characters.  That doesn't surprise me, though.  If you have a movie with Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg, it's not hard to predict which one is losing screen time in the editing room.  And when all of the minority characters are basically supporting characters to Cyborg, of course they'll be cut as well.

He may want to steer clear of any James Cameron movies, too.

His steering clear of movies is not going to be by choice, me thinks. At least, not a choice HE gets to make. He's got a few ticks of the 15 minute timer left, at best.

Oh, he'll make a triumphant return as "guy in store, seen only from behind, #3."
