Oh my. Money sure is drying up for these traitorous f*ckwits.

Good.

2021-01-13 8:38:00 PM
Damn, we're about to find out who these GOP folks fear more, the crazy guy with the gun, or the one who holds their purse strings.

Go ahead, try and boycott walmart. Most deep red states have no other options available anywhere other than the major populations centers.

That's 147 people who never hold office again.

2021-01-13 8:45:21 PM
But surely The People™ will support those brave Patriots®!

2021-01-13 8:45:41 PM
Oh wow.  This is huge if it actually happens.

They literally have no option now. Amazon is the deep state. And now Wal Mart. They'll have to go to dollar general.

They'll object when they realize Trump isn't on the $1 bill.

I'll wait for the first one to suggest that it should be somehow illegal and unconstitutional for private companies to use obvious political bias as their primary consideration in determining how to allocate vital PAC donations, and that cutting them off from money due to a difference of political opinion is essentially an attack on the free speech of politicians everywhere.

It's coming. Probably not from a politician, not at first, but it's coming.

2021-01-13 9:18:23 PM
Now let's see them tell the senate vote to convict or no sweet bux for you.

2021-01-13 9:40:13 PM
Now THAT'S what I call draining the swamp.

They bought their tickets. Let them crash!

"There will be no one to put a check on the Democrat's rampant socialism" is another good one.  Right up there with begging for mercy for killing your parents on account of you now being an orphan.

The petulant, impotent rage of these assclowns, every time they have to go shopping from now on...

It's already happening. I may or may not have tuned into Brian Kilmeade's radio show this morning for shiats and giggles. He seemed very concerned about it. They've been calling it Cancel Culture.

The hypocritical thing that'shiat me most recently is the procedure objection. "No witnesses", "no committees". They did variations of it all day during the hearings. The catch is: that is exactly what the Senate did last time we impeached Donny. That is: not a single witness, just a vote. They set the precedent last time.

Grassroots money.  Trumpanistas willing to give all they can to vote these f*ckers back into office.

Maybe not ALL of them will be back after 2022, but a good chunk of them.

This thing is a cancer, and I'm not sure we'll be able to excise all of it.

Not to mention the guy who's going to have to clean the sh*t out of the changing rooms.

It's going to be awkward for them begging for money from the company that shuttered so many small businesses that they use as excuses for why COVID restrictions are unAmerican... or something.

Thanks to SCOTUS, it would take a new constitutional amendment to get rid of these massive corrupting cash piles from corporations and billionaire wanna-be nobility...........let's do it.

I don't know who else they donate to, but I'm glad that this was at least properly targeted instead of pulling a BSAB.  I hope it lasts.

1. frozen
2. bank
3. accounts

The Home Depot guy announced the same today too.

2021-01-14 1:52:49 AM
i hope this continues, steve scalise told republican house assholes today that this would blow over and the donations would come back in.

i hope he's extremely incorrect and these assholes never get another dime and lose their seats.

It's better than companies doing nothing, but we just had an election so who out there is clamoring for political donations? It's like me saying I'm suspending all payments to my credit card company for the next twenty days when my next payment is due twenty-five days from now. What's going to matter is what these companies do in the 2022 and 2024 election cycle.

2021-01-14 1:59:19 AM
Oh, better be careful. Now is not the time for more division. Those shareholders need that bottom line, even if you have to donate money to traitors to get those luscious tax breaks.

Sorry, but Walmart is basically the embodiment of the crony capitalist system. Fark them.

2021-01-14 1:59:23 AM
Trump supporters won't boycott Walmart.  They can't.  It's the only store they know.

24/7 365 is the time for getting donations.

What other options, even there?  Not Sears.  Not Kmart.  Not Ames.  Not Woolworth or Montgomery Wards.  Target went kinda "high end".  J. C. Penney never really spread far outside of clothing, did it?

But after Citizen's United, isn't corporate money just a form of speech?

Dollar General is pretty popular in rural areas. There's a lot they don't carry due to their size though.

This wont convince me to shop there, but they are a little closer than they were yesterday.

Oh. . . Yay i guess?

I'm not terribly impressed by what the moneyed assholes are doing now that everyone is watching them. I'll wait and see what they do when folks aren't. I have my suspicions as to how that will be.

The damage is already done. They gave to these nimrods who, barring getting expelled, will hold the office for two/six years. They can not pay them and still benefit from them. It's not like any Republican is going to turn down a corporate dick to suck. They may even be more useful idiots than usual as they grovel to get back on the money teat.

Making these defunding declarations now doesn't just cost the corporations nothing, they literally get to save money. When everything calms down they'll go right back to business as usual.

I thought Kroger had stores in most larger cities, although it can be hard to tell sometimes since they tend to retain the name of whatever local chain they buy out and just replace the previous house brands with Kroger items.

At this point we might as all get ready for Rollerball and The Running Man. Corporations have more pull than citizens with common sense.

There go the dominos, corporate money is pretty much the only thing the GOP truly stands for.

You know how every time someone like Rush Limbaugh or Tucker Carlson said something on their show that went too far, even for them, the advertisers would pull their ads. They always go back after the scandal dies down. If any of them was really interested in keeping bigots off the airwaves, they would shut down the ads permanently. As much as they complain about cancel culture, the only person I can really think of that just disappeared after a shiatty comment was Michael Richards. If Michael Richards made his living being a bigot, he'd have an AM Radio show no matter what he said.
