[...]
* Travel.
* Gatherings.

Go buy your groceries and pick up your prescriptions.  Other than that, keep your farking ass on your farking couch and jerk off, read a book, watch a movie, and stop spreading this farking virus literally 3 months away from vaccines becoming available.

I mean, holy Christ on a cracker, what would've happened if they DIDN'T find any working vaccines?  The world is UNBELIEVABLY lucky, and everyone owes the thousands of scientists that bailed us out of this shiat a huge farking debt of gratitude.

The least we could do is not have people farking die anymore while the vaccines get produced and distributed.  It's like that poor farking sap who died literally one minute before the armistice took effect in world war 1.  Who wants to be the last to die while a vaccine is delivered at your local pharmacy 2 minutes away? Raise your hand!

I'm so farking irritated by this shiat.  I UNDERSTAND that there's a small number of people who have essential shiat to do and have no choice.  But they are NOT the primary spreaders of this farking shiat.  It's stupid assholes being stupid assholes who keep spreading this shiat.  All you stupid assholes who went Christmas shopping by hopping from a grey zone to a red zone.  All you farking asshats who got together on Christmas and new years even though you damn farking well knew farking better.  All you dipshiats, the ONE IN THREE of you, who have farking "covid fatigue".

What the fark is that shiat?  "Covid fatigue".  You farking bunch of pathetic snowflake pussies.  Oooooh no, it's so haaaard to stay six feet apart from people and wear a mask.  Jesus Christ.

I think Doug Ford wants to bankrupt ODSP. When this is done, all the disabilities will mean ODSP ecplipses most spending, maybe even education, for the rest of our lives.

Conservatives break things. They do it by breaking people.

That's not entirely accurate. Most community spread is by people just going about their lives; going to the grocery to get cheesy poofs, the pharmacy to get their Lipitor, their kids going to school, and their weekly runs to Target, Costco, and Wally World.

While you minimize those choices as requisite to daily life, you ignore the literal tens of thousands of interactions an average person has just doing the minimal amount they can.

Our local Costco, local grocery, and local pharmacy has had a line out the door - every day - for the last 9 months ... if you don't think that adds to the community risk, you're ignorant of how this virus works.

Cowards, cowards looking to blame everyone rather than just take responsibility for themselves.  I'll live my life taking the precautions necessary, you all do the same.  I have no interest in getting sick or getting anyone else sick, oddly, so far, neither of those things has happened.  It's impossible to completely stop living, so I won't.  I need physical therapy, food, help from my neighbors and friends just to survive.  You all are being tasked with a fools errand, how much will you sacrifice in the name of fear?  This isn't living, it was supposed to be temporary, eventually you will all have to deal with reality, that life means death and truly living means taking risks.

I broke my foot last week literally sitting at my desk, at home, doing nothing.  Nothing is perfectly safe.

And equipment rental companies. Trust me, I work for one. We did just fine last year with all the DIY stay-at-home folks' projects. But I'll tell you it is disturbing how many people do not know you should not stand on the top rung of a ladder and the difference between diesel and gasoline. Those were expensive mistakes for a couple customers.

Also, please stop using wood chippers to get rid of your weed when the Sheriff Dept is on it's way up the hill to you. It really farks up the belts and it's a biatch to repair.

Dubai had a curfew slammed down in place for a long period (months). They had a website up and running, managed by the authorities that you had to apply on for any trip outside the house, that includes groceries and the bank. You'd apply and wait to get an SMS confirmation that approved it and that specified the time window that you applied for. Every single night all the mobile phones would sound an alarm for the curfew. That was highest defcon. When things settled, you no longer had to apply, but the curfew was tight.  Trips were still for necessities. Then it was eased up that it doesn't have to be for necessities, but curfew remains. Then curfew window expanded. Finally it was removed and free movement given.
Restaurants were closed for a long while, then opened to 30% capacity, then 50% IIRC, where they remain. It is a fine if you are in a public place without a mask, and a hefty one at that.
The Chinese vaccine and Pfizer are being rolled out free of charge. The United Arab Emirates is among the top 3 countries in terms of population vaccinated, and it is only gathering more momentum as things move forward and people feel safe taking the vaccine.

It's not perfect, but it's really trying to do what's best.

I know why, this is probably the very first time most people have had to deal with life and death.  I accepted my death was inevitable long ago.  I had to accept that being out in public meant taking precautions against getting ill.  This is not news to me, welcome to my world.  There have been times catching a cold could kill me.

I had a friend get covid (not someone I'm in contact with), their only symptom was fatigue and I was forced to be blunt with them and tell them to stop being a hypochondriac, go take a nap, you aren't dying.  Seriously, entire weeks of my life have been spent so fatigued I couldn't get out of bed (I actually was dying).  Just, uh, stay home and away from me, but that's anytime your sick, not just covid.

Because of this insanity, I haven't been able to access necessary healthcare.  I've already lost three years of progress and have had to resign myself back to life in a wheelchair.  Covid will kill me even if I don't catch it at this rate.

Quit your biatching and stay the fark home.  And stop whining about it being "confusing" or having mixed messages.  I hate Doug Ford, and he should've done this in August, but he's right on this one.  Broken clocks, twice a day, all that.  People need to grow the fark ...

Nothing is perfectly safe.

nothing is perfectly safe is why I speed down the highway during a snowstorm without my seat belt. Because I've got a life to live and won't live it in fear, its a fools errand to try and prevent everything. Can't do it. I'm being careful, I'm fine, can't tell me how to live.

You'd think the US and Canada, notorious for being TV-bleached couch potatoes, wouldn't suck so hard at staying home and marathon watching all 765 episodes of Doctor Who...

you're an idiot then... though honestly, done exactly that many years ago in college.  was interesting watching the cop catch up to us at 130mph during a snowstorm.  guy was visibly shaking in his boots.  fortunately, I wasn't driving.  life, it's worth living.

My city is defying California's curfews and most of the restaurants, including the big chains, are open for indoor dining. And I've been taking advantage several times a week.

You are probably a troll.  You definitely describe yourself as a criminally antisocial asshole.

obviously that was hyperbole. You just.dont seem.tonget the point of... any of this.

It has never been about any of us as individuals. It's been about the collective good. Something I suspect you have a hard time really caring about. A lot of Americans are extremely individualistic, and the collective well-being does not enter their minds very easily.

The sacrifices people are being asked to make for this virus are mostly trivial, except for the economic ones. The economic ones could have all been made relatively trivial if the other sacrifices had been made. Sacrifices like not going out and hanging out with friends for a few months. Not feeling like it's important to go hang out in bars and restaurants. You can live without eating out for a few months. It's society as a whole had taken this at all seriously, we would be in the situation that place is like Taiwan and New Zealand and other parts of the world of men, for their countries have reopened of their economy has suffered significantly less.

But All this bullshiat point about you can't make me stop living my life, it was supposed to be temporary, blah blah blah, is why the situation is still ongoing. It's people like you spreading the kind of attitude that you're spreading that is making this thing continue to be a problem.

Every person who catches covid because they aren't willing to make some of the pretty minor sacrifices that people that have to make for personal responsibility are generating billions of copies of the virus. Copies that they can spread to others, and along the chain people can die. Even if you never catch it, contributing to the collective risk still represents a risk to other people in society.

Being Socially responsible is not and has never been cowardice. Yeah sure, you'll find some hypochondriacs and people who are scared and like to be caught up in things. But doesn't mean we should throw caution out the window. A lot of people have died from this, a lot of people of all ages have suffered tremendously. Just because some people get off of it with a flu doesn't make it okay. And if we didn't have so many people like you spelled in the kind of bulshiat that you can study in this thread, the situation could have been made a lot less, but here we are.

So if you want to complain that this was supposed to be temporary, and they should have stopped, look in the mirror for the reasons why this is still going on, and why people still need to take all these precautions.

I do, you don't get my point.  You're rationalizing authoritarianism.  I never imagined I'd be on this side of things, but here we are.  You fail to see the damage being done to people in the guise of protecting them.

I mostly don't see the damage being done to people. You did mention above issues with access to medical care, and that's clearly wrong. Things like that should have been maintained, that sounds more like an environmental issue for where you lived in anything else. The biggest damage hair has been economic, and I could have been minimized if people had just been willing to make some sacrifices. It's Not authoritarianism. It's being socially conscious

I live in Ontario, it's presumably not the same social situation is Wherever You Are. I still think the things you're advocating here oh, the point you are seeming to make, are a big part of the problem.
