Youtube kwdyr9Ceh6Q

Hey, look yonder, tell me what you see
Marching to the fields of DC?
It looks like handsome johnny with an AR15 in his hand
Marching to the DC war, hey marching to the DC war.Hey, it's a long hard road, it's a long hard road,
It's a long hard road, before we'll be free.

I know plenty of Trump supporters who are well to do. You're not going to see the smart ones at rally's, they know that it's not just far right wing nutjobs that make them rich.

I think its a combination. You have the dumb jackasses who want to blame black and brown people for their own failures and you have the country rich asshole who is upset that they don't get to be a lord. If your unfamiliar with country rich they are the scum of the earth. They generally aren't really rich by city standards but they are compared to their fellow country residents. Since they are often alone in their wealth, or all the other wealthy people are part of their family, they are classless tacky jackasses who feel entitled and superior to everyone around them.

All

the Trump supporters I know are well off, and most of them tend to keep their mouths shut. Sample bias and all that, living in a middle/UM-class conservative area.

It's like the rioters are the army, and the rest are the financial backbone of it. They're not going to put themselves in harm's way for this cause if they can let the Q/Threepers/Boogaloo/Proud Boys do the heavy lifting and take the heat.

It's a pretty good microcosm/analogy for the military in general, especially enlisted infantry.

You will see them at the rallys.

And the ones you refer to are not smart they are cowards.

The entire Villages here are wealthy Trumpers and the whole place is a 24/7 rally.

That's probably why some of these assholes are offing themselves.  They see it all as a LARP until the FBI busts them and they're looking at long prison sentences and thousands of dollars in fines.

Trump supporters generally fall into three classes: those who are in it for the money, and those who are in it or the racism.

The third class: those who believe the fear generated by the other two classes to hold their positions.

They are clearly petty bourgiois.

Small business owners and capitalists who desperately want to become big bourgioisie but find their path to that status blocked.

This, contradiction inherent in capitalist ideology, coupled with their increasing sense of cultural marginalization, which is actually real, is fueling this reactionary movement.

Also, the total lack of Confederate flags.  Having those things at a rally really let you know the protesters are hard working Americans.

They might be business owners, CEOs, state legislators, police officers, active and retired service members, real-estate brokers, and stay-at-home dads (and Proud Boys), but what they lack is a certain amount of intelligence. For hundreds of years people in this country (and others, but that isn't the point here) have had the right to protest. To hold marches, to hold rallies, to gather and have their voices heard. People have protested all sorts of things - rights, wages, foreign policy, abortion, wars, etc. The key is, by and large, throughout history, they've been peaceful. These people decided that marching wasn't enough, they had to invade the Capitol building.

Yes.  People know a lot more Trump supporters than they think they do.  The ones who *aren't* obviously nuts are keeping it to themselves to keep from dealing with the potential social penalty in most environments.

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but the amount of money you have doesn't measure class. Donald Trump is perfect example of someone who grew up with, and currently has upper-class money, but falls squarely within the definition of low-class by every meaningful definition.

I've lived many places.  Currently, where I live now, no, you can't do that.  Acre Lots are about 100k.  Where i've lived before in flyover Pennsylvania, there are numerous houses for 50 grand in a city in the middle of nowhere that aren't bad - 30 grand if you don't mind it needing minor repair.

If you go super rural without regard of location, you'd be surprised what you can get for the money.  It's almost as if the value of real estate isn't the building, it's the land and location.
