Damn shame it wasn't in handcuffs

2021-01-11 5:23:35 PM
I'm confused how he was allowed to continue trespassing when it was declared that he did not legally occupy the position.

2021-01-11 5:24:00 PM
He just had to whine about "acting" one last time.

Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya

LOL disagree with the king, even in his final days.

So Chad was left hanging?

So, can you actually resign from a position you never held?  If so, I've a few positions I'd like to resign from while everyone's clearing house.

Does DHS now hold the record for most secretaries in a single term?

Anyone get the feeling things are about to kick into overdrive today?

2021-01-11 5:26:05 PM
From another thread:

Let's not forget that he's unlawfully occupying that position. He needs to be detained and questioned by the FBI while his residence is being searched.

He had absolutely no legal standing to be in possession of or viewing classified materials and "Trump said I could" doesn't cut it.

2021-01-11 5:26:08 PM
I posted this in the other thread that kept eating my comment, but I'm pretty sure this relates to moving the schedule up to have the US Secret Service prep for inauguration from the 19th to the 13th.

Also I wouldn't put too much stock in Wolf making it to midnight to resign. My bet is Donnie fires him before then.

I mean, did he ever even do anything? Aside, from standing down and allowing an armed mob try to stop the democratic process?

2021-01-11 5:26:23 PM
I mean he was only acting, every knows you can't go method with this kind of role.

This.

False.

Value was gained because a thing of negative value was lost.

He couldn't have been fired, his boss doesn't have twitter.

Some might call him... dangling.

taintbaggins: Does DHS now hold the record for most secretaries in a single term?

Chad was never actually secretary and had his orders overturned because it was illegal for him to give them. He was basically a cosplayer that Trump liked having around.

2021-01-11 5:27:35 PM
He was acting secretary for OVER A FARKING YEAR.
For the FARKING Dept of Homeland Security!
Shows how little Repubs truly cared about DHS.

2021-01-11 5:27:45 PM
This doesn't seem...good, I mean, there's a week left, who replaces him before Biden's pick gets seated?

Chad,

Go fark Yourself.

Sincerely,

Portland.

Reswhining?

2021-01-11 5:28:44 PM
He's probably relieved that he was never officially confirmed for the position because only being "acting" might seriously limit any liability.

/he can pass the blame to the person responsible for filling the position with a qualified individual

Kushner probably.

First thing that needs to happen is fixing this whole Acting bullshiat.

Head of Dept leaves, the next-in-line is automatically promoted to Acting for a period not lasting longer than 90 days, unless Congress approves an extension that will stand on the merits.

Should the next in line decline the position, that would then fall to the third in line.

And so on.

None of this "Force the senior Pentagon civilian leadership out, and stick your former campaign manager in there indefinitely as an "acting" shiat.

We can already see that it was clearly planned in advance of what unfolded on the 6th.

No. That'd be JFK.

With heavy heart and love for my country, I hereby resign from my intensely sexual relationship with Gal Gadot.

Subby meant insurrectionist copkiller Chad Wolf.  He'll get it right next time.

2021-01-11 5:29:40 PM
I assumed he has resumed his position as a catch-it-all furry pornstar.

2021-01-11 5:29:41 PM
Boy, I hope he gets reassigned at the temp agency quickly. LOL

Three sources reporting Trump admitted to culpability to Kevin McCarthy. This would be a first.

2021-01-11 5:29:47 PM
He did his job. He did what he was supposed to do: Nothing

2021-01-11 5:29:59 PM
I would like to see Biden sworn in in the White House like other predecessors. Hella safer there, too. I think the nutjobs on the Right might even send in drones to attack him/them if they conduct it outside.

2021-01-11 5:30:58 PM
Just put white out over his name on the department stationary.  Have an intern print up sheets of tiny labels with the new person's name.

I know it would be easier to build out a word template with the masthead but this is the federal government we're speaking of

2021-01-11 5:30:59 PM
so if i understand correctly, he was never officially placed as Director of Homeland Security, but stayed on anyway until the time came for him to FAIL to Secure the Homeland

which fit right in to Trump's shabbily orchestrated coup

2021-01-11 5:31:12 PM
Your first car.
Chad.

Pur it in a crushers.

And I think the entire DHS just lost its proof of concept.

Abolish that shiat since they weren't doing anything anyway

I don't care unless he admits it on national TV.
Fark McCarthy.

Well, there it is.

Everyone was all "Where's Chad Wolff, the Director of National Security?" when he was out of state, looking for a place to land.

He's not even giving two weeks notice.

What an asshole.

Old-school mean

Acting/legitimacy issues aside for Chad, that these Cabinet secretaries that are resigning weeks early only further demonstrates that they were in it for themselves and did not see themselves as public servants.  There's 9 days left and he should have remained at the post if only to provide continuity to the next administration.
