Crocodiles bigger than they already are?

Why haven't they changed? Same basic reason as sharks and turtles: evolution has comes about as far as it can to give them the best survival capabilities.

It's pretty crazy/lucky there aren't really any monstrously large carnivores.

Largest of the large are, what? Polar Bears, Orcas, Saltwater Crocs and Tigers?

Rest can be big enough to kill a person, but no "avoid this area, there's a 20 tonne massive t-rex living there that could literally swallow you whole and you would have no fighting chance"

It's more evolutionarily difficult to big very large when you have to chase prey that only has to catch trees. It uses a lot of energy and fast movement doesn't equate well the to kind of body you need to take down bigger prey, nor does the Square/Cube Law

So my paelo-nerd wife just stalked out of the room saying "I'm out before I punch someone. Crocodiles are NOT PHOTOSYNTHETIC! Warmer weather would kick up their metabolism!"

The findings show that the limited diversity of crocodiles and their apparent lack of evolution is a result of a slow evolutionary rate.

Is there some deeper meaning there or is that the most unnecessary conclusion in the world?
