How about getting back the last guy that made that team work, good ol' Weeb Ewbank.

Sure, he's been dead for over 20 years, but since the Jets play like zombies, no reason it couldn't work.

A mistake everyone but the Jets knew about over two years ago.

But Gase is such a Real Football Guy!  When his child was born, he was only at the hospital for 5 minutes before he headed back to the film room to join Peyton Manning.  Even Peyton said, "Shouldn't you be with your wife?"  Real Football Guy!

Well, no surprise there. Now the Jets will try to poach an SEC coach.

My money is they'll go after Dan Mullen... his agent "an insider" has been making "NFL interest" noise lately

They had some good years with Hern Edwards.

Hell, even Rex Ryan made consecutive AFC championship games.

That's a shame. He taught us how to love again.

They'll also go after Urban Meyer, but Urban is probably not desperate enough to work for the Jets.

Bill Belichick was undefeated in two stints as head coach of the Jets. Undefeated!

Even Todd Bowles had a season with a winning record. And (arguably) got more out of rookie Sam Darnold than the "offensive guru"!

And lets not forget the 2016, 2017, 2018, Jets Super Bowl Threepeat.

Chargers fired Anthony Lynn this morning, per source. Two seasons ago, Lynn led the Chargers to a 12-4 record, then this year they finished 7-9, winning their last four games, giving him a 33-31 record in LA.
Chargers now become the sixth NFL team to have a head coach opening.

Ryan did do some good, but he was also gracious with de feet.

IMHO, they should have kept Lynn.

I bet he saw that coming. Along with the electrons used to send the notice.

Agreed. Biennemy (sp?) would be great with Herbert

How many 1st round picks is it worth for you to get BB back as the HC of the NYJ?

Bill Belichick would volunteer-coach kids tennis in Guam before having a conversation with the Jets.
The only person suited for that Jets team long-term is the guy who can tell ownership to f*ck off and get away with it.  Parcells was the only one who could do that.

I've really enjoyed Gase's career with the Jets, because usually when the Dolphins cut somebody loose he goes on to do much better somewhere else.

Unfortunately, not Vic Fangio. He is the perfect example of the Peter Principle.

As I said to a friend who wants the same thing, Fangio isn't even in the top 10 on the list of problems with the Broncos. The ownership BS with the Bowlen family makes that job really unattractive to any possible head coach that would be better than Fangio currently is.

The question is where coaches do not want to go. I'm not sure how the Falcons/Texans wound up where they are, but the Jets look far more interesting to HC candidates than most locations.

Heard that the Jets asked to interview Daboll today. No. This is not allowed.

Well, there's one of the top 10 going away...

@AdamSchefter
Per source: After 10 years as Broncos GM, John Elway is taking an elevated role with the team and will hire a GM, giving him final say on personnel. Elway will stay on as Pres of FB Ops while GM works closely w/ HC Vic Fangio. Elway helped Denver to nearly 100 wins and SB win.

Awesome. Elway had success early but that can be credited to the Manning signing. Top free agents came in after that to snare a Super Bowl ring. Elway with no Manning? Not so many top free agents.

And his drafts from 2012-2017 were horrific.
