Just because you don't think he's right for the job of Potus, doesn't mean it's wrong for him to have another position in the administration.

Gee, it's almost like primaries are competitions where everyone tries to win against members of their own party.

It doesn't mean Biden doesn't respect Buttigieg's talents and want to take advantage of them in his administration. He nominated a primary rival as his VP too. It happens.

This means something, as Biden has already gone on record saying that all of his official dinner photos presidential statements will be on Instagram.

Yep, and there were no promises made for cabinet posts to all of the centrists that suddenly dropped out of the primaries and backed Biden over Warren or Sanders.

I think if you are on Bidens side in this you should be willing to take as much as you give. Plenty of times we have made fun of pretty much the same thing on Trumps side. To be fair though, Graham basically saying Trump's an idiot and the GOP deserves to be broken if he is nominated is indeed a bit different.

Refusing to engage in reality denial and externalizing blame, mostly.

Do you believe both Donald and Bernie lost?  Not because of any vast  DNC "establishment" conspiracy but because the voters didn't trust them and/or flat out disliked them?  Welcome to the modern day version of what passes for a "moderate".

It's an exceedingly big tent and we have our differences within it (specifically there are a lot of libby-libs called "moderates" these days). But at least we're not screaming mental toddlers "joking" of shooting and/or using guillotines on everyone who isn't exactly like them.

Hating on "liberals" who'd be considered moderates in any other economically developed democracy is the only schtick he has.

Pete seems like a bright guy. It's an odd place to put him and you have to recognize he'll now have seven times the number of employees as he received votes in his last election, but I think he'll be fine. There's nothing wrong with Pete here.

Maybe Biden does want to take advantage of his talents but it's certain he wants to take advantage of his sexuality. Ticking another box, giving another group their due. That's standard politics, there's nothing wrong or unexpected about it, and I don't begrudge him for engaging in it. There's nothing wrong with Biden here either.

Your immediate reaction to this being to ascribe the most pure and noble motives to your political leader's actions, that's a problem. It's politics, be real with yourself about this stuff or there's definitely something wrong with you.

my issue is sectrans is effectively a second labor spot. Uaw, pilots, flight attendants, teamsters, aircraft mechanics, rail workers, etc.

Not a role I'd prefer a mckinsey alum for.

Maybe small business or hud though.

Your immediate assumption that Democrats are amoral election chasers is well-documented. Just because OAN has convinced you they everyone else is in it for themselves doesn't necessarily make it true.

So this is either the lead up to a porn movie or Biden wanting to give an up and coming young Democrat some experience. I'll personally go with the latter, but you do you.
