I don't even care about the holidays. It hasn't felt like the end of the year at all, to me. Most of this year has felt like falling into a black hole - the middle was just gone - so go ahead and steamroll right through X-mas and New Year's and just get to the inauguration already!!!!

I am so sick of that fetid, shrieking pus-bag I could puke.

If 2020 has taught me nothing else, it's taught me the power of sitting at home doing nothing. Sitting at home doing nothing is the single most powerful and effective strategy we have to protect ourselves from the coronavirus pandemic while waiting for a vaccine to become available. Joe Biden has won the election 47 times since being elected by sitting back and doing nothing while the courts reject one desperate and pathetic Trump claim after another.

So please, everyone, join me in sitting at home and posting pictures of amusing cats, funny memes and the ever popular attractive members of whichever sex you personally prefer to Fark.

Yes, we should all cheer for failure when a perdon is trying to strongarm his way to power.

I assume that 'perdon' is a Freudian amalgam of 'person' and 'pardon'?

It's actually 'person' and 'lardon'.

I was thinking of something more along the lines of 'perdition'... and person...? Yeah, just a thought.

For accuracy, that last line should really be:

"You don't have standing, so even if there was evidence of voter fraud, widespread or otherwise - of which none has been presented - you would still have no case. "

Their one win was in Pennsylvania. They won a judgement to prevent the state from counting a small number of ballots that had arrived without ID and had failed to provide ID by the deadline. The state hadn't counted those votes and hadn't made plans to count them. They weren't part of the official total, and as such did not change the outcome of the election.

Still, that was a better outcome for them than when they paid $3 million for a recount in Wisconsin only for the new count to add even more votes to Biden's victory.

It is very hard to prove good voter fraud.  If its very good, it will be impossible to prove.  Sort of like a perfect murder.

The most common type of voter fraud is elderly people voting twice and having the wrong line signed off.  It is one of the advantages of the "I voted" stickers.

[Ms Jones shows up wearing a I voted sticker]
"Ms Jones, did you already vote today?"
"No"
[sees signature of Ms Jones 5 lines down from where it should be]
"It looks like you voted already"
"But I want to vote for that sexy JFK!"
"But you already did in 1960"

"Well, the boss is known for sometimes not coming through, and there might be a bankruptcy coming, but he seems pretty willing to go through with this."

" ... OK."

It's nothing like that, this Wood guy is a true believer and completely nuts at that. 3 of his former co-workers are suing him for unprovoked assault and battery. From what I've read it really sounds like the guy had some sort of mental breakdown or adult onset mental illness and decided Trump was some kind of divinity and it's his mission to help him in any way. Of course that's not much different from most trumpists, but he has a law degree and at least a few people willing to pay him.

And a lot of taxpayer dollars because it is county and state governments having to pay lawyers to defend all of these garbage lawsuits.   Trump's scumbag lawyers can keep going because moron MAGA donors keep sending them money, but we all collectively are having to pay to defend against this garbage.

I hope judges start sanctioning these lawyers.   They need to be fined for these lies.

At least 3 of the last six Republican presidents have committed treason to get elected.

What Regan did was dirty, but not treason, Bush I was, all things considered, a pretty good person, Bush II was an idiot that won because Gore didn't want to fight over 300 votes in Florida. Nixon was an asshole and liar and probably came the closest to treason. Who was the last republican president before him, Eisenhower? No one outside of the John Birch society can say he was a traitor. Trump is unamerican and totally cool with selling out the country for personal gain, but I'm not even sure the word traitor applies to him in a legal sense.

Treason means you give help to a country we are at war with. We aren't technically at war with any country right now, nor have we been since Iraq War 2: desert boogaloo.

/Come to think of it, was Iraq 2 even a formal declaration or just an authorization?

We're still on line 1. Hearsay and conjecture are not evidence.

There was allegedly voter fraud in PA though.

That Republican dude that tried to get an absentee ballot, so his dead momma could vote.

But the system caught him, so looks like it's working fine after all.

Maybe he should try acting Presidential and help people instead of tear gassing them for a photo op or golfing when he should be working.

This right here. Also keep in mind. Biden didn't win so much as people voted against trump. Biden has no mandate and shouldn't let the far left dictate.

This guy probably thinks Medicare for all and a reinstatement of the estate tax is "far left".

I don't think it's the lawyers, actually.

"You're going to pay me to make this case?"

"Yes."

"My full fee?"

"Yes."

"Even if I lose."

"Well, probably, but yes."

"And you want me to say we have evidence."

"Yes."

"But we have none."

"Basically."

"Only some heresay and us simply saying we have evidence."

"Pretty much."

"But you want to go through with it, anyway?"

"Very much yes."

"Full fee?"

"Well, the boss is known for sometimes not coming through, and there might be a bankruptcy coming, but he seems pretty willing to go through with this."

" ... OK."

They didn't do nothing about it, they actively encouraged it. Three election security bills that were torpedoed in the senate by these farks.

While I'm sure there are some kooks and true believers in the legal team, as Wood appears to be, I have to believe there are also some opportunists, if you will. It is a legal "team."

Heck, I think much of what's remaining from the GOP establishment that doesn't fall into "true believer" territory has kind of basically been "Trump opportunists." "I'm taking this case, even though I believe the reasoning is daft and we're going to lose" isn't all that different than "I think this guy's an imbecilic, racist narcissist, but the people who vote for me seem to like him, and it's probably better for my electoral chances to not oppose him."

Part of what this has all brought to a head, though, is that, for Trump's wishes to have come true and election results gotten somehow squashed, someone, somewhere along the line would basically have to either say they did their own job poorly or go against the principles of their position. Georgia's election commissioner, for instance, would basically be saying, "Yes, me and all my employees did not competently run an election or do our jobs, we should throw out the results of the election I ran." For this plan to have actually worked for Trump, a lot of people who are probably too far down the line for Trump to truly remember and reward, had he actually pulled this scheme off, would have had to go along with it. And even if he had remembered, it would have been far too bald-faced a bribe for them to feel comfortable with: "As a result of screwing up the election, you now upgraded from failed election coordinator in Arizona to ambassador to Ibiza." Huh?

When it became, "Oh crap, we look bad either way," a few folks finally said, "You know what? I'll have a better chance of doing better down the line if I look like I did my job right." Maybe, at some point, the GOP will go full-boar, "If we're putting you in charge of this, you better darn well make sure we win," rather than the (somewhat) more-subtle gerrymandering and vote suppression. But we're not there yet. Yet.

I have no comment on the others, but Trump has literally been caught out committing literal treason twice at this point, and that's just the things known openly to the public.

Count 1: benefitting from and aiding in the coverup of the cyber-attacks on our election systems by Russia.  That's an act of war... not in some figurative, metaphorical since, literally as defined by treaties and existing laws a very literal act of war.  By definition, a state of war exists in the course of an act of war being committed, so technicalities about whether congress subsequently formally declares ware do not matter.  So abetting the act or assisting the cover up is, legally speaking, treason.  As defined by the constitution, so the excuse-making of various entities doesn't matter, what statutory law says doesn't matter, and to a degree even what any court other than the actual USSC says doesn't matter.  It's treason, though in this case there's some wiggle room for deniability if your audience is just gullible to the point of having a diagnosed mental disability.

Count 2: Trump was informed about Russia taking out bounties on US troops.  His response was not just to actively cover it up, but to subsequently lobby internationally for Russia to rejoin the G7 at the expense of US political capital.  Again... declared state of war doesn't matter when he's knowingly providing aid and comfort to a nation he knows is currently committing an act of war against the US while he provides them aid. This one there's no room for deniability on.

Like... I fully admit this is an "ain't nothing gonna happen" deal, but that he is a Traitor in the actual legal sense who has unambiguously committed treason in the actual legal sense as well as the colloquial sense is not actually something that's really up for debate unless you're a straight-up Qanon type who thinks that reports sourced from the actual white house and confirmed by government sources and media vetting alike are outright falsehoods to cover up the Democrats running a pedophile adrenochrome harvesting ring.  It's just kind of a straight-up fact.
