Damaged goods, all of them.
Pro Tip: don't let it damage you to their level, play a longer game

Farking dingbats.

/ Hey, they act like Archie Bunker, may as well use one of his favorite terms.

I agree with snocone.

Wait, what?

Pelosi needs to grow a backbone. Any congressweasel that doesn't accept the legitimacy of the election -- all of the election -- doesn't get sworn in.

They're bound to him with a cord of steel.

This was never in doubt.

The entire GOP - minus a few outliers - is a nascent fascist party -- basically the NSDAP in 1933, only the Reichstag fire fizzled out and "Trump" lost the election.

Elected by people holding an eighth-grade equivalent education and who would gladly live under a king as long he banned strangers and left them alone in their mountain-top trailers.

Actually bound with this. Much stronger than steel.

The Trumpers I know hate "democracy" and call it mob rule. They are the first to yell out, "We are a REPUBLIC, not a democracy". So their representatives, chosen democratically, are just following their voter's wishes.

Cult members behave as if they're members of a cult. Weird!

This just in, the republican party is full of traitors.

Actually, we knew that already.

They are afraid of his 70 million MAGA zombie army. I mean...we all kind of should be.

I've never met a right winger that actually loved America, so there's that.

They love the superficial trappings of America - pretending to be moral people, pretending to be good people, waving flags around in pretend, cosplaying soldiers, watching planes and tanks in parades that were paid for by liberal taxpayers - while doing everything in their power to destroy everything America is supposedly supposed to stand for.

They can get farked and die choking on their own covid for all I care. They aren't Americans. And they're not worth the time to talk to, or treat like people. Call them shiat eating filth and move on with the day.

2020-12-05 9:19:33 AM
Like Marjorie Taylor Greene and the other new asshole from down here in Georgia who sent the letter to the Secretary of State not to certify the election results, when of course THEY DON'T HAVE SEATS in Congress *until* said election is certified...

But everybody have faith none of them will fark up the last step in the electoral process.

I think the majority are afraid to answer for fear of a Trumper backlash. They can ignore it so why look for trouble.

2020-12-05 9:22:10 AM
This is obvious.

Republicans hate democracy and everything this country stands for.

The last 4 years republicans have been trying to dismantle the United States America and day by day they have proven this time and time again.

Peter von Nostrand: This just in, the republican party is full of traitors.

Actually, we knew that already.

And terrorists.

It's time to deal with them accordingly.

They'll always tell you that all those things they like are what taxes are supposed to be for while all the things you like are waste.

Also it would make more sense if somebody else would pay those taxes.

That's why The Wall was such a slam dunk. Pure waste and according to their messiah to be paid for by foreigners. Same thing with the tariffs. It was all lies but these people live their entire lives drowning in lies seven days a week, starting on Sunday morning.

If you aren't going to decry what trump is doing, don't be a little biatch - OWN IT!

You're even more worthless if you won't actually take a side and defend your position you useless twatwaffles.

Show everyone exactly where you stand if you actually believe in your stance.

Unfortunately, all the rednecks, bumpkins, racists, misogynists, god-botherers and others with a sub-60 IQ ARE perfectly cool with it, and they all vote.

The Greedy Old Pigs must pander to their base. Because re-elections are the only things that matter to these stubborn old coots.

Not really, because they would be facing a non-zombie army of 81 million; and the non-zombie army isn't actively trying to infect themselves with a deadly disease.

/plus, our side has the cities, hospitals, and all the good doctors (unlike that idiot ex-doctor in OR)

How does that work?  Because all of the House is elected every two years, including Pelosi.  She has no more authority to swear anyone else in than any of the other newly elected House members.  She's not Speaker of the House until the newly sworn-in Representatives hold a vote and elect her Speaker.

Maybe I needed to elaborate. They know he command an army if 70 million cult followers that are 100% ok with letting the GOP do anything it wants. The GOP haven't had such a powerfully energizing candidate since maybe first term Raygun. They want this power and NEED it to remain relevant. With how our voting already gives the right a boost in being able to win, all they really need to do is disenfranchise or lower voting enthusiasm 5-10% on the left, and add 5-10% vote on the right, and they get everything. Power is the goal. The 70 million zombies are 90-95% their key.

(R)epugnants have insured the total pointlessness of democracy, or shall I say the low-life ignorant losers that vote them in. We do not have a functioning democracy when the debate is between A.) an idea that could work vs B.) complete stupidity and selfishness.

I will say this again as I have said a million times before, democracy just does not work when you allow the lower intelligent, the uneducated, and the stupid to vote. Stupid people vote stupidly, surprise.

Have a system that requires people to be tested, score them on their intelligence, critical thinking, empathy, then use geographical and demographical statistics to select the actual votes that count. Make the test difficult enough that say only 10-15 million could pass it, then every 2-4 years these "voters" submit ballot which is then statistically selected to be counted. If 50% of society is female, then 50% of votes will be as well, etc.. Most important of all, politicians and political parties actually have to have ideas, actually have to base their ideas on intelligent thought. No longer will childish fear work as easily, they actually will have to come up with reasoned thoughtful solutions.

Most of them "won't say" who won the election.

Real profiles in courage there. These clowns liken themselves to the founders at every chance. What a joke.

Difficulty being that when the yokels get the 'Rona they come to the cities, monopolize the time of the doctors and clutter up the hospitals.

They count on us being decent, moral people who won't just leave them to die choking on the consequences of their own idiocy. It's the small-scale version of what the Republicans do on a national level: break the economy, loot the treasury, alienate the rest of the world and then lose elections just long enough for the democrats to fix the country so they can start the whole process over again.

Nope. The Speaker is elected on the first day, by members of the prior House, then the speaker officiates the swearing in of the new House.

There's an old MAD panel from one of the primer articles they did back in the early 70s that says something like:

A patriot is a man who loves his country while hating 99% of those in it.

Both sides are bad?
Well, yeah.
Saying "both sides are bad" is being obvious.
Saying "both sides are equally bad" is being oblivious.
Here's the deal.
Here's what wrong with America in a nutshell
You have one political party unafraid to tell any lie they think will help them.
You have another political party who are afraid to tell the unvarnished truth.
Both parties are being patently insincere.
This has been going on for decades.
I get this isn't a popular take.
Still true.

We had such tests in place not that long ago. They were also designed to prevent "undesirables" from voting.

But you keep on lording yourself above the bigots and reprobates with whom you have so much in common.
