Don't worry, they're asking for a do over in Georgia, so that should fix everything for him.

Interesting. I know four Norwegians living in Virginia; one married my nephew. Nephew's MIL and SIL took the test and were this week sworn in as new citizens. I'm sure they took the old test.

Niece in law and and her daddy have yet to take the test and will likely get the harder one. She's an attorney and he's a senior executive in a company. They are all also serious Trumpers. Like many, they are very excited to be in this country and see a great future here.

I will be amused is if they don't pass the test.

TFHeadline: True or false: The Constitution allows truly great Presidents to serve forever regardless of what the voters want

FALSE: The Constitution allows truly great Presidents to rule forever regardless of what the voters want. Truly great Presidents do not serve, they rule. (The truly biglyiest very very greatest very Presidents neither serve nor rule -- they do only what the strict letter of the title says -- they Preside over the nation, particularly if they've had a full day of strenuous golfing and tweeting.)

See how things are interpreted differently by different people?  The way I read that, the answer would be:

B-A-C-K-W-A-R-D-S

And I would have been wrong.

Not that that's unusual or anything.....

Because of the comma, i would have answered "sdrawfor".

It didn't matter what answer you gave, though. The person grading your test could claim that any of those were wrong or right, and you had no recourse.

Stupid uneducated white man writes "drowfor"? Close enough!

Intelligent self-educated black man writes "sdrawfor"? Sorry, you were supposed to write "backwards"!

Flashfyr3: Mrtraveler01: Articles of Confederation

I still remain convinced that conservatives confuse the Constitution with the Articles of Confederation.

That question also notably left out the English Bill of Rights, the Magna Carta, the Petition of Right, not to mention any of the works of enlightenment thinkers that inspired the sources of inspiration they do list. This test looks like horseshiat I would take a student-teacher intern to task over if they tried bringing it into a 9th grade government classroom, much less a farking actual citizenship test.

Not to mention, British common law.

And for people so obsessed with the 10th Amendment, the question on what rights Americans have is laughable in its brevity of specified answers. But that's probably a result of the states rights advocates caring less about individual rights than the powers of state and local governments to restrict rights. After all. They rarely talk about the importance of the 9th amendment. Certainly not with the same fervor.

Well the Constitution did allow one truly great president to serve forever, but it wasn't despite the will of the voters.
