Won't you people think of the for profit prisons!?  What will happen to their poor shareholders if they can't fill them up with low level marijuana arrests?

Republicans are bashing the democrats claiming it is just a show. They said are also complaining that it is hallow, because people are dying during the pandemic. The farking house passed a bill almost 6 months ago to deal with the pandemic. Not their fault the farking republican controlled senate isn't doing shiat. Republicans can fark off forever.

Because it would come from, among others, "those" people. And, "those" people belong on a plantation I mean in prison I mean back where they came from I MEAN THEY'RE NICE FOLKS AND ALL!

/For those who might actually take this seriously, please don't.
//I feel disgusting even satirizing this.

But it's likely not going anywhere anywhere soon: Senate Republicans have indicated there's no appetite to pass the measure.

This would be a chance for Rand Paul to salvage his claim to being a libertarian, but I doubt it.

Anyway, the Senate would have to flip more than one Republican and I imagine there's a risk of losing a Democrat or two, maybe Joe Manchin. To say nothing of Mitch's refusal to bring anything to the floor that a majority of Republicans don't support.

Still hoping against hope for upsets in the Georgia runoffs.
