I just want the YouTube Premium popup to go away. If I didn't say 'Yes' the last thousand times, what makes you think I want to pay for it now?

The first four Bond films - Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, and Thunderball - are the only ones I rewatch, I can't stomach the Moore films anymore and I never really liked any of them after that. The Craig movies are ok, but I don't feel the need to rewatch them,

They are of their times.
they are not timeless.
they do not really hold up that well.

I'm curious as to why one would bother watching a movie on Youtube with ads blocked, rather than just torrent it.

They hold up just fine...as long as you remember that you're watching a 55+ year old film (in the case of the oldest Connery films) and they reflect a different time with different attitudes.

/"doesn't hold up well" = old movie that isn't like new movies and I didn't like it.

Most are on Prime.  Not all.

I've been rewatching them and most of them are terrible.   At most there are a half dozen pre-Craig ones that are worth watching.  FYEO, TLD, G would be three.  I can't find a Connery one I enjoy.

Well, the opinion was that the Connery films are not enjoyable so it's not likely to be Goldfinger. I'm guessing it's Goldeneye.

With that disclaimer, I would guess "Goldeneye".

It was the first one I watched with my dad, which he showed me "because it was like Star Wars".  Hooked instantly. I've been a fan of them all, but the Moore ones were my introduction, so they'll always be my favorites.
I made sure to make the same mistake when introducing them to my kid.

His description of it afterwards was:  "That movie was ridiculous. Just when something ridiculous is done happening, something even MORE ridiculous happens. Awesome."

Yeah but Oddjob was driving.  He was probably pushing the car along with his feet like Fred Flintstone.

The secret to Moonraker is to think of it as an Austin Powers movie instead.  Embrace the cheeze and its a lot of fun.

I'll watch any of them any time except OHMSS.

Had an xgfs boys watch them(and TOS and Godzilla) with the advisory, "if you're ever in that situation(laser approaching your crotch, etc) now you know what to do."

Worst Bond movie is either You Only Live Twice or Octopussy.
Not going to watch either of them again to determine which is actually the worst.

The rear axle would have snapped before they got the full weight of that crushed car in it.

I'm not even sure the Lincoln could hold all the weight of the gold they loaded into it.

I know...joke

I'm old, too, but I prefer the Craig Bond films (other than Spectre) to the older movies (and yes, I like Skyfall, despite the gaping plot holes, because Daniel Craig and Judi Densch nailed their characters perfectly, and it was a fitting send-off to her version of M).

Not everyone is a mega hacker extraordinaire. Watching from your phone, tablet, smart tv, console or whatever that isn't a normal computer is easier than setting up a home server, or burning things to DVD, or being stuck on your PC and VLC.

It's obnoxious how many ad break YouTube can cram in a 5-minute video, so imagine that stretched out over 2+ hours

I experienced most of the early Bond movies with ads on OTA TV, so not a big deal.
I also own most of my favorites on DVD and have Prime Video, so that's a pass.

I know moonraker is considered bad.. I hold a special place it for it in my heart cause it was the first Bond movie I'd ever seen.

This scene though really has gorgeous scenery and a gorgeous score.
