$125k. Or, about six whole cheesecakes.

How the @&#% can the S&P500 have gone up 13.5% year to date over THIS YEAR. This obvious economic dumpster fire of a year. This year, with huge unemployment increases and retail screwed and travel/transportation janked to hell, all waiting on an end to the pandemic.

I continue to think the market's behavior is mostly untethered to the reality of the American economy. A parlor game of musical chairs played by rich farks. Except the rest of us are the ones who suffer consequences when the music stops.

You know how everyone says that if we give poor people money (you know, like... jobs do?) then there'll be runaway inflation in consumer goods and housing prices?

It's like that but we gave the money to banks and rich people, starting with the housing crisis, so it's securities and houses (whoops, those are also investments) that're inflating wildly. We'll see if it hits consumers eventually.

I don't trust any place that makes everything.  I can make an OK version of everything.

Of course it's not been proven, but many top physicists and mathematicians believe that The Cheesecake Factory menus are finite.

Aren't they supposed to act all pissy, claim the audit was rigged and demand a re-audit?

The Fed is doing its job, bailing out Wall Street by buying an infinite amount of corporate paper.

The fact that Congress isn't doing it's job to bail out Main Street is what is causing the disconnect.

The only place with a larger menu than The Cheesecake Factory is Jack in the Box.

Are you kidding... Sonic has more varieties of CHILI dogs than Crap-In-The-Box has menuitems.   Then add the 50 million drink types, hamburgers etc....

The first time I was handed a menu at cheesecake factory I finally used "What is this War and Peace?" appropriately.

My guess that part is companies and people sitting on cash unwilling to start new ventures are dumping it into stocks.

Plus, while many businesses are suffering from COVID, plenty of others are benefitting.

I went to Dutch Brothers Coffee for the first time recently. Their menu gave me a brain aneurysm.
