No. It'll be at Singapore.

Stop trying to make space war happen where there are perfectly fine simmering conflicts down here already. No pudding until you finish your meat.

From everything I can tell, he is an honorable man and a good flag officer. But, I do have to agree. Biden should definitely wipe the deck and the General should go be on the board of Raytheon, Boeing, or/and some private equity thingy.

Mr. Breeze: maldinero: Blow shiat up in orbit, and let the pieces fall where they may.
Makes perfect sense to me.
What could possibly go wrong?

Milly's not wrong. Most people seem to equate space warfare to Space Marines and bullshiat like that. Honestly it will be more like an enemy state taking out a few satellites in LEO and GEO creating a Kessler syndrome making those orbits useless to satellites for decades. If you can't picture the devastating impact if that, then you're focusing on the wrong aspect of the Space Force's mission. Just because it was created under Trump doesn't make it invalid.

The Air Force was handling that fine.  Space Force is a useless waste of resources and should be folded back into the AF come January.

The Air Force was handling it fine for the Air Force and AF assets, which is their MO. Not for the other branches that also depend on space, nor for the American commercial interests.

A big problem is Spaaaaace Force! is the size of a 1-star command, but elevation to service level makes it 4-star.  It's going to be super top-heavy, super redundant, or the responsibilities will be way out of line (for any given rank) with the rest of the services.

BiglyHands was one million percent thinking Space Marines with robot suits and space shuttles shooting laser beams.  What Space Force will actually do doesn't need a service level branch, it just needs a little nudging to be more joint.

Soldiers weren't the target at Pearl Harbor... control of the Pacific Ocean was.

There's no militarization of space just because we have a branch dedicated to space. The purpose is not kinetic warfare in or from space. That's the "romanticized" definition of Space Force but it's not reality.

Bingo.

Minute 1 of the Biden presidency better see retirement papers from Milley on the Resolute Desk.  Barring that, assign him to Alaska.  He can be king shiat of fark mountain over there.

The first battle fought in Earth's orbit will also be the last one, because the debris from it will make launching anything into space impossible for the three thousand years or so.

Has anyone figured out why the hell Russia, China, India, or like...France would attack the US from orbit when ICBMs are a thing, other than "because they can...maybe"? I realize that defense is a continuous conveyor belt of money to a handful of states, but when it gets this farking obvious, it's time to calm down. Maybe order a few hundred more tanks to park at Fort Hood for a few decades.
