as i have gotten older certain accolades have faded for me.  things like law school and MD's and PHD's don't prove you are smart.  it just proves you didn't like to party as much as i did.

FTFA: "I was happy to be a member," he said. "It's their club, and we're at a strange time in American history, and, I guess I was canceled."

No, you whiny little scrote, they just didn't want to be associated with a stochastic terrorist. But hey, now you can go rile up the rubes at the next Trump rally. I'm sure you'll love to be rubbing elbows with those plague rats.

Oh, those wacky Republicans, always joking about killing people. Real hams those guys.

That's why there are so many Republicans doing Stand up comedy down at GJiggles night club.

So, assholes?

"Drawn and quartered" and "taken out at dawn and shot"  are both obviously hyperbolic references to old timey execution methods. Was it unprofessional?   Yep. Was it a legitimate call for violence?  I don't think so and nobody else, even the ones crying about it do either.

If you want to go that route, you might have to start drawing lines between idiots saying "all cops are murdering racists" and innocent cops getting ambushed in their cars. There is an actual body count associated with that rhetoric.

Personally, I'd have suggested tying him to a tree and bashing him with a shovel in my best Dan Aykroyd voice.  Nobody could have reacted to a Tommy Boy reference with such faux concern.

On Wednesday, he told The Washington Post that his comments had prompted a flurry of threatening phone calls, and that his law firm was hiring private security for him, his wife and their employees.

Those were all just satirical.  A jest.  Hyperbole in a political discourse.  Why can't this guy take a joke?

He's a fairly intelligent economist under Nixon. His credit card game is off the charts.

Need help getting that third nail in? To take the rhetoric from your hero: fark your feelings, snowflake. We're not content with conservatives incite violence indiscriminately. Words have consequences. You're just pissed that people like you are now experiencing them.

Normally, that might be the case. But not all of Trump's followers are capable of making those fine distinctions. A good number of them, one might suppose, would take his words literally, wrapped in Constitutional (particularly, 2d Amendment) fervor as they are. A thinking man might have taken that into account, and used less inflammatory language.

He played a stupid game and he's winning stupid prizes.

And the extra security is being paid for by one of the Trump scams. Do they have to stay at a Trump property? That would smell like more money laundering, or emoluments violations.
